I am simply fed up with this hotel. I live in the UK and back in February 2020 I booked 2 rooms at this hotel, staying August 24 – 27 2020 (3 nights) at a total cost of $1508.88. Due to the pandemic both bookings were cancelled on 23rd June 2020 and cancelation numbers were given for both bookings, at this time I was told I would need to wait 60 days for the refund to come through. It is now the beginning of January 2021 and still no refund. I have called the hotel numerous times and get the same story of “please bear with us your refund is coming”, they even gave me a case reference number!! that was until the hotel stopped answering calls as I believe they are now closed. So, I called IHG corporate in the US who were very sympathetic but managed to cut me off 3 times. Do you they have any idea the cost of calling the hotel or IHG corporate from the UK and explaining why I am calling again and again? I am an IHG gold member and get treated like this, what’s the point in joining the program. To leave, so called “valued customers” without any help or communication is a disgrace. I hope to be staying in New York this coming August 2021, guess where I won’t be staying!
Fully paid reservations cancelled March 12th- STILL NO REFUND!!!
I would give Crowne Plaza Times Square a zero rating if possible. We paid $3600 in Nov. for a March trip. We cancelled March 12th and were assured we would receive a full refund per IHG Covid response policies. We emailed the hotel repeatedly and were always told we would receive the refund in 90 days then 90 more days etc. I have tried to resolve the issue through parent company IHG on multiple occasions- IHG creates a case file, says they will tell the Crowne Plaza management to call me and then nothing happens. My calls to Crowne Plaza billing have never been returned. Their behavior has been dishonest and despicable. Crowne Plaza Times Square has committed fraud by keeping our $3,600 despite no services being rendered and company policy clearing stating our entitlement to a full and complete refund. They are not to be trusted.
Not refunded since april 2020
Sure I canceled my stay that should happened in june 2020. But I did that at the very beginning of the pandemic, in april. We are in december! Since than I have tried unsuccessfully to be rufunded. They say that they will refund me in 60 business days, then say it again, but it is just an empty reply. That happened two times! I don't know what can I do anymore! It is incredible how a hotel at this level treat their clients!!!
The best hotel durning New Years Eve
the hotel is really kid-friendly and the room I went to fit 6 people and it was a small room the staff were really friendly the only downside that wouldn't really be serious that it's crowded and there was no security measuring around my zone except for Bryant park and other places but not this area really think NYPD should do much better .of course the hotel check-in is easy and quick but luggage has to be pulled up by the escalator to the second floor. Um the time of travel was back on December 31, 2017, and 2016 it's not december 2019
great hotel two words BIG ROOMS
this was my 5th time in NY my 1st at crown plaza and i must say i will never try another hotel we travel for a cycling event and i have never feel more confortable at ny in a hotel than at crown the rooms are HUGE and if you have been at NY you will know that room are really small when i said HUGE is they are HUGE we were traveling with two bikes two bike cases and 2 lugagges and we had plentty of space besides you are in the middle of time squared what else can you ask for if you like having space deffinetly stay at crown is amazing and hotel is really nice
