Glad I Didn't Avoid Times Square This Time

As you can tell by the title of this review, I typically avoid staying in Times Square, but it was only for one night for the purpose of a "2-show day" and I decided to stay close to the theatres. I think I made the perfect choice for this trip. The hotel is situated closer to Bryant Park than the heart of Times Square (Red Stairs) so was not nearly as noisy I thought it might be. The room was more spacious than many NYC hotels I have stayed in with 2 queen-sized beds. It was safe, clean, comfortable, had a refrigerator & microwave, and as a bonus, a fantastic view of the ball that drops in Times Square on New Year's Eve -- all for less than $200 for the night. I never had to wait for an elevator. However, the best part of my stay was the customer service I received at the lobby counter from Michelle! She should be a trainer for others working in the hospitality industry except it would be a huge loss to this property. My friend and I arrived before check-in and as it was a Sunday, understandably our room was not ready. Michelle offered to hold our luggage, directed us to restrooms close to the lobby, and gave us bottled water as we left to grab a bite to eat before the first show. When we returned about an hour later, our room was ready and she called someone who promptly showed up to retrieve our luggage from a locked storage room. The next morning, Michelle gave us a good recommendation for breakfast about 2 blocks away (Red Flame Diner) and when I requested a late check-out, she gave us one without an additional charge and re-programmed our keys to make sure they would still work after the normal 12 noon check-out time. When we checked out, she gave us bottled water again before we left. I really appreciate the attention to hydration! I am planning another 2-show day in January and will definitely be staying here again. I sure hope Michelle will be working!
Perfectly located…and that bed! Omg!

Tucked between Bryant Park for ice skating and Times Square with steps away from the subway…you couldn’t ask for more. Elevator gets a bit busy during a holiday…we went for the Thanksgiving Day Parade

The staff is very arrogant to start with, the gold memberships is not been considered in full, I been overcharge 2 days a part the deposit, so really to avoid it. Hopefully I will recover my extra days, but not as today
Not so clean stay

The price was better than the other Hilton brand hotels in this area, the location is great! The room was small (normal for nyc) with a small bathroom. The problem was the dust bunnies all over the walls! If there is that much gunk that I can see, I can only imagine how much I can’t see. If you have allergies or are Covid conscious I would look for a cleaner hotel. Also, there is no conditioner and no small towels in the bathroom. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker though.

Our stay was very nice. We stayed on the 32nd floor with a gorgeous view of the New Years ball. The bathroom also had floor to ceiling windows which was amazing as well. It was a great stay. The room was clean and very quiet.
