Firstly the welcome after travelling 20 hours to our destination was non existent - we appeared to be disturbing the receptionist from talking to his wasted friend at the front door. Kids thought we’d arrived at a hostel or emergency accommodation centre. We’d booked 2 rooms - can’t fault one of them but the other room had fault after fault / mains one bring a constant drilling sound coming from the bathroom tap - I brought this to the attention of the hotel and in fairness they fixed it the following day but in doing that the air con wouldn’t work . No sleep for 2 out of 3 nights - I wish I’d spent my stay elsewhere to enjoy a really fab city.

This has to be the worst place I’ve stayed! Filthy! Lifts took forever to arrive, and were taken over by the cleaning crew. Complaints fell on deaf ears. Barely had hot water, showers were dreadful. I think a youth hostel would be better in comparison. Room was minuscule with barely enough room to get around the bed. The only good point was the young man on the reception desk. Don’t stay here!!
New York! New York!

I went to New York and stayed in Holiday Inn for 2 nights. I have stayed in other Holiday Inn in Asia and this is the first time i experienced that the room i got doesnt have a ref. For the toilietries, i have to go down to the front desk to ask. Theres no parking. Sorry but i just got used to your your other hotels to have an excelent service and accomodation. When you try to call the front desk from your room, it just kept ringing or its toooo busy. The room size is kinda tight too. The room we stayed had a 2 double size bed. Anyways, it was just good for sleeping since when youre in New York, youre out most of the day to explore the big city. Thank you Holiday Inn.

This is probably the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Extremely noisy and not just from the street. The staff were yelling in the hallways, the walls are super thin and the smell of weed kept creeping in. The elevators took ages to get there and when it did it was taken by the cleaning cew. Breakfast was a disaster. You have to ask for everything and even then it seemed like they werent eager to give anything. Powder eggs and sticky packets, for example. Very unclean everywhere. We had to ask for change of sheets and towels every day, which never happened. Untill we pulled off the sheets ourselves. They took bags from the room and when we addressed it they just said "it's fine" and went on with their business. A very pricey hotel for no service and in very bad dirty state.

The Holiday Inn on 6th Avenue was a great hotel to stay in for a couple on their first trip to NYC. The hotel was located perfectly between 6/7th Ave and gave a break from the continuous noise of the city at night. The value of the hotel was great for the location and the room was everything you could ask for, clean, spacious and comfortable. An excellent choice and brilliant value for a hotel in the centre of Manhattan close to multiple subway routes and cafés for breakfast.
