This hotel took our reservation and money -then, the next day, without telling us, closed. Now they claim it is taking them over an hour on the phone to find the reservation in their system. We finally hung up after an hour! How can Hotel Indigo treat paying customers so poorly -or treat anyone so poorly? What is going on?
Canceled my entire wedding block

30 days out from my wedding they canceled all of my guests reservations, apparently they are participating in a homeless sheltering program so are canceling without warning all paying guests. Didn't offer any alternative to my guests and we had to scramble and pay double at other another hotel to house everyone. Absolutely indefensible.

We had a wedding block at this hotel since last fall 2020 and approx 30 people had reservations to stay here. This hotel is closed. We found out because we also booked the hotel for the end of July, so we could give our guests first hand knowledge. Our reservations were cancelled. We called the hotel and they could not tell us IF or WHEN they will open. We also called IHG corporate who had no idea the hotel was not open. Now we have the task to inform our guests a few weeks before the wedding that we need to get new hotel reservations for Labor Day weekend and pay premium because prices have risen dramatically.
Canceled Reservation Two Weeks Out!

We booked for mid-July in early May. Just two weeks before we were scheduled to arrive, we received an *email* saying our reservation was canceled due to the hotel being “closed”. I’ve contacted IHG, the hotel’s ownership group, to express my concerns. They should have at minimum called and offered to rebook us at a comparable property since IHG owns a lot in NY. I would not stay here or any IHG property until this issue stops happening.

We were in N.Y. for an unpleasant family matter. There were three of us in the room, the hotel did provide a roll away. Except to clean up and sleep we spent very little time in the room so it would be difficult to provide much information about it. I do feel it would be important to note this was in February, before the COVID-19 shutdown.
