We’ve stayed here for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay! The locations is fantastic so close to all the major nyc attractions! We could walk everywhere didn’t even had a need to take a subway. And a great bonus was that we could see The Empire State from our room! The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! They also have a nice rooftop that we really enjoyed. We will be definitely back for our next getaway to nyc.
People live in this hotel full time. They come in with their laundry and children all day and night. There is a children center run out of the 3rd and 5th floors. Be prepared for children vomiting in the lobby and families of 5 filling up the one and only running elevator. Next time well splurge so we can fee like we’re in a hotel and not someone’s apartment building.
Affordable and nice. Stayed on the 16th floor and had a wonderful view of the Empire State Building. Had a wonderful stay. Decent walk to/from grand central and Times Square! They are renovating elevators so expect a long wait.
Lovely and a bargain
I was greatly impressed with my stay at NYMA. Perfect location on Ktown. My room was clean, water was hot and I will definitely stay there again. Plus a great view of Empire State Building! Some permanent residents of the building live on the lower floors.

We stayed at the Nyma hotel 24/2/2020 till 27/2/2020 for a short break in New York when we arrived we found out that only one lift was working to which we thought that's not too bad but we then realised that families lived on the 2nd and 5th floors of the hotel due to the lift going up and down to these floors and our room was on the 13th floor so wasn't going to take the stairs!!! We know families live there because they were getting in the lift with bags of laundry and children plus on top of this we were charged $150 city tax for the 3 nights we were staying there so obviously subsidising the residents who live there.
