Quite close to times square Subway, eateries, theaters You'll hear the bathroom Yes, theater and you'll count as one syllable in my book. Had an incident the first night in the hotel. Their computer system messed up and apparently I wasn't supposed to be in my room. Hotel engineer tried to get in to my room around 11pm, scared the heck out of me. I shouted that the room was occupied. Employee apologized, and I spoke with Mgr Anthony about it in the morning. Anthony was very understanding and apologetic, and the situation was rectified to my satisfaction. Good neighborhood, nice bar on the lobby floor, and comfortable bed. The room is small and there is a sliding door on the bathroom, so if you're traveling with someone, it will be quite intimate.
Nice Hotel For The Price Unfortunately Needs Improvement To Their Customer Service

I stayed at The Pod Times Square for two nights, November 2 & 3. I got an excellent price through Hotels.com. The room was very quiet. The bunkhouse bed comfortable for my 6"3 body and the shower's hot water came on immediately. Hotel was clean and I would not hesitate to stay again if the price was right. Location is very convenient to Shows and the subway is one block away if needed. However I had an issue at check in with customer service. When I arrived and stood for my turn for check in, there were SEVEN employees behind the counter. Only one was actually checking people in. I have no clue what the other six were doing. But two employees (one being a Manager) stood on each side of the one employee, talking full volume. There was already a plexy glass and with masks it was difficult to hear. I asked the employee FOUR times the same question, however she did not respond to me. I'm not sure if she was ignoring me or couldn't hear me, because the two employees were talking ACROSS her at FULL VOLUME. I was tired from a long delayed flight and did not appreciate getting ignored. I finally hit my hand on the counter, three times. to get her attention. Then she responded. She said something smart to me, but I couldn't hear her, because the other two were still cackling at full volume. I said to her, "where is a Manager?" She pointed to one of the employees who was talking over her. I said you are a Manager? Don't you know that you wait on the customer first and answer their questions? She responded that they were having a problem with their credit machine. Still no excuse to not provide customer service and answer my question. That was the only issue I had. A wake up call request and a blanket request was met with a timely response.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Pod Times Square!! We chose this hotel for its location not far from Times Square, but for being only a couple blocks to the nearest subway station, with convenience stores, drug store, breakfast options, and restaurants all walkable nearby. We also were attracted to the hotel's offer of discounted parking rates at the garage nearby. Our four nights there were nothing but enjoyable! Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly and available for any question we had. We enjoyed our view looking east on 42nd Street as well as of the Empire State Building. The hotel was busy, but our floor was quiet. Our room with a double bed was perfect for us. It was still roomy enough...using the storage under the bed for our suitcase and other stuff. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The only suggestion I have is each room could have a small box or packet of Kleenex.
Located near enough to Times Square

Very small room (as expected) but it was bigger than a cruise ship cabin. Clean hotel, nice employees, great view from our room. Make sure you’re traveling with someone you’re comfortable showering in front of, because the frosted glass bathroom walls means you’ll be showering in front of your roommate. I found the bed uncomfortably firm. They didn’t need to waste money buying a bed because the floor would’ve been as comfortable. Overall, though, cleanliness and location give this room a thumbs up from me.
