Luxurious and fancy
Stayed here in April 2021 so lots of things were still shut down. The front desk staff was very kind. The room had a separate seating area, incredible blackout curtains, and a bathroom room I could live in. Even the “do not disturb” sign was digital, although I did not get maid service as requested. I called the front desk for extra towels and they arrived within minutes. The location can’t be beat. The ACENQRW1237 trains are all right across the street, and restaurants and shopping were plentiful. Overall a very special, comfortable well kept hotel. Only problem was the “free” WiFi and bottled water that actually cost $40 a day. I know fees are the way the industry is going, but not all hotels charge them. So this one doesn’t have to either.
Not great
I was very unimpressed with my room (which was upgraded) for the money I spent. Barely anyone was at the hotel. It didn't help that none of the amenities were available for use. restaurants, bars and gyms are allowed to be open in NY. Theres no reason why the hotel rooftop bar, restaurant, gym, and pool are all closed.
A/C problem
Unfortunately, there was a malfunction in the air conditioning , and we were not able to sleep comfortably. Other than that, everything excellent ex: treat employees are courteous, the place is clean and the location is great.
New York New York
This hotel was fantastic! I highly recommend it. It's expensive but worth it. I love room service but it was still closed due to COVID 19. I wish it had been available to make the trip complete but I understand. So, I actually had no complaints until it was time to leave and I needed help getting transportation to the airport but the man at the desk on the night of March 22, wasn't helpful AT ALL! A friend picked me up from the airport and brought me to the hotel so I have NEVER used Uber or Taxi (everyone drives where I'm from) AND it was 3:45AM. He told me to stand outside and wait for a taxi but none were driving by. I am a female, alone, standing outside all by myself in an unfamiliar area! He could have been more helpful. I was getting very apprehensive that I might be late and miss my flight. I ended up finding and figuring out the Uber App on my own.
Stunning hotel! Would definitely return!!
Beautiful hotel, very friendly and inviting staff. Very clean everywhere and the perfect location!! The martini suite was worth every penny!! Will be returning so we can check out the rooftop once open.
