Las habitaciones y las instalaciones son impresionantes. El gimnasio y la piscina una pasada y el personal muy atento (muchos de ellos son españoles). El restaurante del hotel es muy bueno (el pescado increíble).
Agradable hotel, pero se notan los años

Estuve tres noches, y la impresión fue buena, agradable estancia, servicios completos y parece que el spa y gimnasio merecían la pena. La pega el ruido que hacían los radiadores y la baja presión de agua en el aseo. En general bien
Lovely stay. Great location, setting, food & restaurant staff.

We had a one night stay which included a spa treatment & use of the spa facilities.
Booking - No problem booking the room but difficulty booking the spa treatments which was sorted once higher management were involved.
Room - was OK, clean & had all the facilities needed but just a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel.
Check in is from 3pm which we felt was a little late given we could only start to use the spa from 3pm. However, we arrived around 12:30/1pm to have lunch beforehand & around 2:15pm we were informed by a lovely member of staff (from the restaurant I think) that check in was ready. This was appreciated as we could get ourselves ready to use the spa facilities @ 3pm.
Spa facilities - This area is nice, clean and had an adequate sized pool, a sauna & steam room. Jacuzzi was out of service. Also had a nice outdoor area. One negative was that hotel guests can only use the facilities from 3pm, when checking in to collect towels we were informed that public swimming / children were able to use from this time onwards. I think it would be nice for hotel guests to have time to use facilities prior to sharing with the public/children.
Spa - Lovely environment, very clean and felt very much like an actual spa and not just an add on as experienced in other hotels. Lovely treatment with quality products and not rushed out, given time to relax after the treatment.
Restaurant - Food was beautiful, great quality, presentation and portion size. We had breakfast, lunch & dinner which we had in the ‘Hangout’ outside, which was really lovely, very lucky with the weather and felt like we were abroad. We had a drink inside the hotel prior to dinner and really liked the decor and grandeur of the bar area.
Breakfast had a great self service selection of cereals, toast, pastries, rolls and choice of bacon & scrambled egg along with a good choice of juices, teas and coffees.
Lunch & dinner was from the same menu which is bit of a negative as we would of liked a lighter option for lunch such as a salad or wrap/sandwich especially prior to a spa treatment. Although, the fish & chips were lovely.
Dinner was exceptional with both food and service. I have an unusual food intolerance and Jemma was absolutely first class in assisting with this. Nothing was any trouble & Jemma wanted to make sure my needs were met & I didn’t feel like I was being a pain. We had a lovely conversation and Jemma shared her knowledge of the surrounding area. An absolute credit to the hotel. 5 stars :-)
Overall, it was a lovely last minute break snd we would definitely stay here again.

We are here for a golf break, dinner was part of the package, unexpectedly it was brilliant food AND the service from Gemma was outstanding, she really made out evening special, well done Gemma. Can’t wait to return.
Tired Hotel with Poor Service

It gives me no pleasure leaving such a grim review but I wish we had known these issues before staying here. We stayed with friends for four nights. The room needed a good clean as there was a film of dust on everything, even the phone handset. The view of the golf course would have been nice if we could see out of the window covered in bird droppings. The carpet was covered in old stains. The couch looked grubby. We had one pillow each, no spares were provided. The shower ran hot/cold. Our friends had the same issues in their room. The toilet brush is probably one of the most revolting I have ever seen. The toilet flush was very stiff, you needed to use two hands to compress the flush. We were told they are 'all like that'. The rooms were not being serviced. I was told this was to 'keep me safe'. I suspect this really due to a shortage of staff. The breakfast was entirely self service including making your own tea. There was very minimal hot food (egg & bacon). At breakfast the dining room staff looked bored, they need some training on how to clear a table. We ate one evening meal in the hotel as the standard of the food was so poor for the price. The bar staff were really nice as were the drinks. This was a huge disappointment for a 4 star hotel charging nearly £300 per night. During our stay we did mention some of the issues to the reception staff. The cups were changed after our request and the bins emptied. We later complained to the hotel manager who apologised about a couple of the problems. The manager told us the rest of the issues were our fault for not complaining at the time. Its such a shame as this could be a lovely place to stay.
