We stayed at the Sandman Sig for a weekend. The location is quite good (we didn't come for the football). Booked a family room with a bunk bed - this is an excellent size room, with proper size bunk bed (much better than a sofa bed, don't think twice) - kitchen area is well equipped - thoroughly enjoyed the room choice. The hotel bar is a sports bar so very very noisy. However, the food is far better than what you would expect, service was quick and the staff was very nice. Overall great experience.

We have just checked in (all 6 of us!) and from the moment we arrived (lots of laughing and messaging around), Matt was on the Front Desk and could not of had any more time for all of us…. Checked us in professionally, informed us of all the information we needed and even told us his shifts for the weekend so we felt very home from home. I’ll do another review upon checkout but already very impressed. Thank you Matt (Fern party)

Stayed in a king suite for 2 nights, check in was good and friendly and a very good cooked breakfast each morning. The room itself has flaws, buzzing lights, road noise and wobbly glass doors that rattle about when moving them. Not very much privacy from bathroom to bedroom. Location is good for access to Eldon square, 10 minute walk away. For the price paid we expected a bit more, certainly not upto the same standard as other hotels in this price range. Would we stay again, probably as location is good and breakfast was also good.

Great location , comfortable beds , nice staff room very clean , requested a quiet room so was given the tenth floor . Still quite noisy at night from the road , this would have been bearable but the terrible noise from the electric heaters was far worse . We switched ours off at night to sleep but you could here them from all the other rooms coming on and off all night on the thermostats . We didn’t get a wink of sleep all night even the pipes made a lot of noise if you opend a tap etc such a shame won’t be returning .

Overall, this four star review is only so because the breakfast service was exceptional. The service was good, and the way the staff took care of us- including buying us marmite - was just perfect. The bed was comfortable. Otherwise, this hotel was no more than average, and not the standard we’d expect of a business hotel in a city centre.
