Fantastic Place for a Great Price
The desk clerk Tom was so friendly and helpful he should be given credit where credit is due! Someone promote that man he loves where he works and has more patience than I could working in public retail but he definitely made my checking in very stress free and made this feel like a stay back at home to me. I will definitely be coming back here when I’m in town. Good customer service is highly appreciated!! God bless!
Tom was awesome!!
Stayed here with my boyfriend and was very impressed at Toms commitment to the guest experience and attention to detail! He was able to fix our TV and was both a great front desk man and a tech guy! Thank you for making our stay great!
Perfect Getaway in the Smokies
Motel 6 continues to be one of the cleanest, most affordable options in Newport. I’ve stayed at this property multiple times and I’m always impressed. Clean rooms with hard floors (no nasty carpets), friendly staff (Kevin and Brijal at the front desk go above and beyond with their customer service), and if you’re on the third floor there are wonderful views of the mountains. I keep coming back for all of those reasons and more. Lisa always seems to be the housekeeper on my floor and she has such a gentle and sweet personality. Grade A staff and pet friendly too. Thanks Motel 6 in Newport!
Best Motel 6 yet!!
I was recently blessed enough to find this gem on my round trip journey to VA and stayed on my way there and back. I give it 5 stars for the cleanliness, the price, the location, (Newport TN is tucked away in the Smoky Mountains and is breathtakingly beautiful especially this time of year), it's dog friendly with zero fees, nice walking area, well lit parking lot, I felt very safe, and it's close to good restaurants and fast food 24/7. I Loved this place!!
You Get What You Pay For
You really do get what you pay for. It's a good thing we used this as a half way stop to SC and we weren't staying any longer than one night. We stayed here once a few years ago right after they remodeled the place, and it was nice then...but has since gone down in quality. Pros: Cheap price, lower than anyone else in the area Front desk staff was nice and accommodating. Bed was clean. Shower had hot water. Cons: The bed was like sleeping on the floor. If I would have slept on the floor, I would have felt the same way. The entire hotel reeks of smoke: in the elevator, in the halls, everywhere, despite the "no smoking" signs. The a/c unit is LOUD. If kicked on frequently waking me up at night. The floor had a sticky residue on it, and nothing else was really clean either. The mini fridge in our room was unplugged and leaking--so rather than flood our room, we put it outside in the hall. Parking lot is sort of sketchy. Random "stains" on chairs, in the toilet, etc. This is a bare-bones, no frills motel. Don't expect any extras except a bar of soap. The towels were super thin and the size of a lunch box. I'm a bigger guy, so I needed about 6 to dry myself off. Speaking of thin, the walls are as thin as the towels. Conclusion: if you have to stay in Newport, TN, pony up the extra $15 or so and stay at the Best Western or the Holiday inn Express.
