old world charm in a modern hotel
Very clean room with great A/C but the real wonder of this hotel are the beautiful gardens with old world sculptures and fountains. The down side was the limited number of water craft that were available to be used on the great adjacent river(2 kayaks & 2 canoes). but it is on the cycling paths and cycling in this area was great. Restaurant food was healthy and creative on the cool foods(breakfast and salads) but didn't do well on reheating the dinners. Having a room with a patio where we could eat our meals worked very well.
Lovely hotel but.....
The Montfort is a very impressive hotel reminiscent of the castle hotels in Portugal. The staff were very friendly and helpful and their English was excellent. The room was lovely with beautiful tall windows overlooking the grounds and the river. The bed was comfortable with really nice quality linens. Unfortunately the lighting in the room was so poor that I had to use my phone flashlight to find things in my suitcase. There was no luggage rack which made things doubly awkward.
My first visit to Nicolet
For starters, I have lived in Montreal my whole life and never heard of the small town of Nicolet. My girlfriend and I were looking for a little getaway not too far away and finally ended up picking Hotel Montfort. From the greeting to the final goodbye, the staff was very helpful and accommodating! The room was very nice and clean and exactly what we were expecting! Our favourite aspect was the Spa. We spent the whole day there and captured the amazing view from the rooftop, went in the hot tubs, and even got a massage! All in all, I would like to say that this hotel provided us with a great experience and I would definitely go back and suggest that anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway weekend check it out!
Modern old hotel
My room is small , with a huge wardrobe . The bed is very comfortable ; the furniture is modern , but for 1 unique plain chair which doesnt fit in the room . Bathroom is well equipped , very clean . The bistro looks nice
Very enjoyable
We went as a couple to relax for 2 days at the hotel and spa in the first week of May. The workers are great ! Especially Savana ! The spa is clean and relaxing, tho a bit small. The roof ''spa'' was disapointing considering there was only a jaccuzzi. The restaurants price is too expensive for the quality of the food. Over all : Very nice views, nice hiking not too far, good for bikes, relaxing nordic spa.
