A wine retreat

From the first moment on you find yourself in a welcoming atmosphere. This location is family run and has a long tradition with great Service and an attentive staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, well maintained and modernised. Just footsteps from the Rhine river, this hotel offers a very good Restaurant and wine selection. The Breakfast buffet offered everything i could wish for. Overall great value for money.

We stayed one night with our baby. We had a lovely room with a nice view on the Rhein. Very quiet. The breakfast is very good with many choices of food. The staff is very nice and helpfull, and also speak French

We had a lovely view of the river from our room which was cozy, comfortable, and meets all your needs. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and presented so well! I love having a waffle at breakfast too. :) Everyone at the hotel is really nice and very helpful, we always love coming here and they all remember us each time!

Great location with friendly people

We love coming here for a getaway. The employees are super friendly, the food is amazing and everything is freshly prepared. The rooms are all uniquely decorated and have great views of the river. This time we enjoyed the wine festival in Oppenheim with delicious wines & bites from the local area. It feels like you're on an island and the rest of the world doesn't matter. We always leave sad to say good-bye but are refreshed and ready to tackle the daily grind.

Great breakfast

Small, old and quaint but very clean. Cool decor. Seems like a family run hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Best part was the breakfast. Lots and lots to choose from. Made to order omelettes. Outside seating in the sunshine with a view of the Rhein. A small confusion were the blinds in the room. We had a room with a view of the river but also a busy road outside (ear plugs provided). There were no blinds in the room which caused some irritation at bedtime, but suddenly electric metal blinds went down on the outside. Ok we were happy, but in the morning they were still down. After awhile we noticed someting attached to the window which was the control to the outside blinds. Comfortable beds but awful pillows. No AC. Our room had a great view of the river and we could also enjoy it while showering as one of the walls in the shower had a floor to ceiling window (with blinds if you feel the need).
