Value for money
The hotel was recommended by my colleagues and it doesn’t disappoint me. I have booked a room with a large twin bed and breakfast included. The room is okay with essential amenities while the restaurant for the breakfast with cozy ambience and the food varieties are good enough! The only comment I would say is the staff’s English the hotel needs to work on, pehaps Niigata is a secondary city in Japan people don’t speak much English. Other than that it’s all fine!
Perfect
We stayed two nights and were very pleased with the staff, service, and location. The front desk staff spoke English and they were helpful and welcoming. Housekeeping was also efficient. The rooms were slightly larger than typical Japanese rooms which was a bonus. We booked a double room and surprisingly there was a king sized bed. There was a desk, refrigerator, hot pot, and an area to hang your clothes. Also, several outlets by the desk and in the nightstand. Check in is on the third floor and it connects directly with the Ponshukan which is the sake tasting area! Convenience store and other shops all on the third floor. Also, direct access to the JR rail. Extremely convenient.
Expensive
The hotel is located in a very good place and car park across the street costs 500 JPY for hotel guests which is good. The price for one night was a bit high for our opinion. There is a self laundry located in the smoking floor from all floors and the smell in the corridor is of heavy nicotine. Not logic.
Best hotel near the station
My second staying at the hotel. Very professional, modern and quiet. The rooms are pleasant although at the Japanese standard ( small). The a/c is quiet and the bed is very comfortable. Much better than the art hotel just opposite the mets.
Cheap, cozy and clean!
Right in the station! No need to leave station. The rooms are smaller than usual but still is fine. Best thing is next to the lobby across the door is the famous sake vending machine! Wished we stayed longer in Niigata!
