I loved this place! The staff was so nice and accommodating. My room was simple but comfortable and super clean. The other guests were quiet and respectful.
I stayed there for a conference and this worked out perfectly. I would totally recommend this place if you are visiting Niteroi.
Adorable, lovely little hostel

Me and a friend stayed 2 nights in this lovely hostel. Both receptionist where absolutely delightful and super helpful. We booked a private room. It was nice and clean, and equipped with an air-conditioning, toilet and shower. Included in the price was a really nice breakfast, it came with toast, butter, jam, ham, cheese and breakfast cake. The hostel is located close to icarai beach, which is one of Niterois more popular beach, and to the centre of the city. The road has little light at night so i would suggest grabbing a cab rather than walking around at night.
Clean, cozy and reasonable price

I had to spend two days in Niterói and chose the Brasileranza hostel. I had tried another hostel in town, which was good, not superclean. This one is quite organized, clean, staff is friendly and has a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast is fine, bread, simple cake, butter, jelly, coffee and milk. The downsides are that the house is old, as most of Rio is, and not fully renovated. The location is allright let's say for Rio standards, but at night I would not walk alone, rather call a cab. Since it is empty and dark, everything can happen, but most of the nights I believe nothing will happen unless you have some bad luck. I would return to Brasileranza, and reccommend it as one excellent option for those who wish to visit the university and Niteroi for tourism, keeping close to the shore, Museums and city center. Icaraí is nice but a bit out of route. The busline 47 or 47A probably are of good help to move around the town quickly and cheaply.
Great Time at Great Hostel

My friend and I are on a surf trip from California and loved our stay at Brasileranza hostel. The staff is very attentive to common areas and everything is very clean and well kept. Patrick was able to give us a ton of suggestions on surf not only in Niteroí but other parts of Brasil as well. We had an awesome time there and will definitely be back. Thanks Pat and rest of staff!!!!
