Excellent dinner. Good rooms

Opinión escrita el 23 de enero de 2023

What really made our stay was our kaiseki dinner. The fusion between Japanese and French was well executed while still maintaining distinct Japanese characteristics. The rooms were large with in room onsen with a view of the wooded area beyond the car park.

Big room and private onsen!

Opinión escrita el 28 de agosto de 2022

This is a belated post. I stayed 1 night in this hotel in May 2018 and it was unforgettable. Each room is as big as an apartment, complete with lounge and private onsen in the bathroom. But I must warn that the bathroom windows have no shades and it looks out to the car park and forest (depending on which side of the hotel your room is). Overall, the rooms are big, beds are comfortable and bathrooms are luxurious. The breakfast is also delicious!

Amazing experience

Opinión escrita el 10 de febrero de 2020

The onsen ryokan is amazing. The hospitality of the staff, the modern and beautifully decorated room, the phenomenal dinner, the lovely onsen! We felt so relaxed and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We have to thank Mr.小田 for his hospitality and service. He is nice and helpful and made us felt more in love with this place! Definitely a must if you are around Noboribetsu.

spacious

Opinión escrita el 10 de febrero de 2019

The room is extremely large. There are 3 of us and each still have our private corner without disturbing the others. Bathroom is very nice and sectioned well. However the dining service is a little off-standard. We booked Kaiseiki and it took so long and not as delicious. They tried. But still not as we expected, taste-wise, service-wise.

Not a luxury ryokan, but cheap 3 star (Western style) hotel

Opinión escrita el 10 de enero de 2019

We have traveled many times to Japan and stayed at different ryokans, so therefore had great expectations of this one because of the relative high price. However if you have ever stayed at a real ryokan in Japan, please do NOT book here. Though they have tried to make the interior look like a one, the building and furniture are just cheap modern version with no atmosphere. The worst is however, as mentioned in other reviews, the food! Totally unacceptable for the price you pay. On our reservation it said 'kaiseki' dinner, well it is not: budget Western food. Small tasteless portions served in tiny concrete boxes of rooms, while staff and other guests talk loudly. I have added photos to give an impression. The staff is friendly but clearly in training and again not up to standard for a 'luxury' hotel experience. We can not believe that this hotel is run by Japanese as it is an insult to the concept ryokan...
