My wife and I needed a hotel room over the holiday weekend. We trusted in a high profile brand like IHG to get things right in this time of pandemic. We were disappointed. Upon entering the hotel we only saw two people. A guest and a front desk attendant. Neither was wearing a mask. I asked the front desk person to put a mask on. She complied but made up an excuse that the plexiglass shield should have been enough. This wasn't late at night, but more primetime, so I'd expect the mask to be automatic. We saw only one other person for the entire stay. Upon leaving the room in the morning I was greeted by a mask-less cleaning person. This was 9:30am, so she must have expected any guests to be moving around, checking out, etc. Why no mask? Months into the pandemic, it should not be so difficult to follow basic safety precautions, comply with the law, and make guests feel safe. I use IHG because I trusted a major player in the hotel industry would have it's act together. That's not the case.

This hotel allowed dogs so that is why we stayed. I feel like our room was cleaned but never finished. There was no hand soap for sink, all the garbage cans had no bags in them. But with that being said the room was clean, the a/c was very, very loud. Overall an okay stay. Pool has a limit of 6 people, there was a family in the pool and my husband and daughter waited 2 hours for them to leave and when they did get to the pool it was dirty so they didn't swim.
No masks in middle of Covid 19 pandemic

I asked about wearing masks before I booked and was not told their staff do not wear them. Hours After arrival and check in, I asked why staff were not wearing masks and was told I could leave if I didn't like it. Clearly this place has no regard for the safety of their guests.

First thing I noticed about the room was how it was well cared for - very neat and clean, furniture in good condition and not shabby. Fridge was very cold - didn't realize that someone had turned down the temp, so my water froze overnight, but not a major issue. This hotel was convenient to where I was working, but is in a great location - an Aldi's grocery is right in front of it, and across the street there's a Walmart for everything else. There's also an antiques mall two blocks away. Indoor pool and hot tub were nice, and both had mechanical lifts so they could be accessed by handicapped persons.... something rarely seen. Very good breakfast - fun to try their fresh pancake making machine, and the scrambled eggs were actually quite tender and tasty. Good selection of other foods for breakfast also - oatmeal, dry cereals, three kinds of juice, breads-muffins-pastries, sausage, eggs, fruit, waffles.... plenty of choices. The only reason I showed them as a 4 star is that after check-in, there never seemed to be anyone at the front desk. We stopped by three times, and there wasn't anyone around.

We were on our first day heading towards Florida and stopped here for the night. It was very clean and comfortable place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpfull when we asked questions on the area. to relax they had a great pool and hot tub and then a great breakfast in the morning.
