Nastiest place in MB!!
Stayed one night for a funeral and killed 3 roaches! Woke up to a mouse in the bathroom and another roach in my moms water cup. Refused to shower in that gross bthroom and slept on sheet with all our clothes and shoes on! When we showed the manager the roaches he blamed it on a previous guest. If we erent exhausted from an almost 9 hour trip and ready to sleep I would have left and found someplace else! We left as soon as we woke up.
Stay away
Checked in with my best friend from high school on September 26th. had read good reviews online and because it was right on the beach I chose this place to stay. I try my friend flew in from Connecticut and I picked her up at the airport and we got to Myrtle Beach and got something to eat it was almost 8 at night when we checked in. If it wasn't so late I would have left immediately. Tiles were missing from the bathroom shower and there was mold all over the floors and the walls in the bathroom. The place had that musty moldy odor. the next morning very early we went downstairs and canceled the next two nights. I must say that the staff at the front desk was very reasonable and very nice. And I will say that the view was spectacular.
Very Good Stay, Great Staff!
We stayed here to enjoy the oceanfront view while in town attending the Darlington NASCAR race. I had changed my reservation 3 times, only to have to evacuate two days early for hurricane Dorian. There was never a glitch, or bad attitude, from the staff with all the changes to our reservations and the refund due to the mandatory evacuation were without question and speedy. The rooms are all oceanfront and not a bad view in the place. It offers a private beach access that was never crowded during our time there, even being a holiday weekend. The rooms are not fancy, nor decorated in an updated fashion. However, they were clean and efficient for what we needed. We got the efficiency, as we wanted to cook while there. Everything worked well. If you are looking for a newly updated and "resort" style living, this is not the place for you. If you really don't plan to be in the room a lot and just need a good comfy and clean place to stay, with a great view, this is it. You can't beat the price and the customer service was off the charts. I will stay here again!
Red Tree Horror Inn
I demanded a refund and left, I’m still dealing with booking.com to get my deposit back. I had 2 small grandkids with me and no way I could stay in a room that nasty and unsafe with them. Smell of mold, nasty and the balcony door would not shut all the way and looked half rotten, which is very unsafe when you have two toddlers with you. Can’t trust a balcony door that doesn’t shut properly when you have two toddlers who could get out and fall to their death!!!! They literally would have had to pay me to stay there, and then I don’t think I could, not with children. Oh and sheets were stained and holes in bedspread. Do yourself a huge favor and skip this one!
Totally ruined vacation
My husband and I stayed here 7/6/19 to 7/9/19, this place is horrible.holes in the walls and doors, lumps in the carpet, power went out twice. I was literally afraid to pull back the cover and sheets, slept on top of the bedspread for 3 nights, the chairs on the balcony were broke and on the last night there the balcony door wouldn't open, so much for enjoying the view. we called the front desk and they said they would have someone fix it the next day, everything is old and outdated. I really think the place needs condemned.
