under construction; mostly time share owners & severely outdated
Property cannot seem to manage time share owners vs day guests. We were told we had to room change because the owners were coming in. Decor, furniture and overall appearance was severely outdated - resort had musty odor. Resort under construction. staff was friendly, but not accommodating
Don’t go to this place!
Everything about this place is bad - old . . . I mean really old unit furnishings, stained carpet, sink wouldn’t drain properly, closet doors hanging off track, TV picture quality went in and out, outside door not locked and street people come and go at night, rude maid who knocked on our door and confronted us about telling management she didn’t wear a mask. We should have complained, but we weren’t the ones! Police broke up a fight at 4am outside our unit, no working phone to call front desk in unit, etc!!
Incredible location, not so incredible lodging
The resort is old and hasn't been updated. So be willing to trade that for the great location and access to the beach. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were as clean as can be with such old furnishings. The rug in our unit must absolutely be replaced. Disgusting. Would make a big difference in one's cleanliness comfort. Pool was well kept as was the hot tub.
Outdated units but the location and views makeup for it
Grand Shores sits directly on Redington Beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. The soft white sand, warm water and amazing sunsets make it a perfect place to vacation. There are many delicious restaurants in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and the pool and hot tub are spotless clean. The only negative thing is that the units are dated. The furniture is old and very worn, although my mattress was brand new and super comfortable. Not all units have a view or balcony so just be careful which unit that you choose to stay in. Ask lots of questions when booking your vacation here and always remember Location, Location, Location!
Dirty!!
Well I must say this was the filthiest room I had ever been in!! There was a huge stain on the sofa which was disgusting. The sofa was actually a sleeper but I never opened it as I was by myself. I would have been horrified had I brought a friend with me. I had to find an extra sheet in the closet to throw on the couch so I could sit on it The carpets were old and dirty, full of stains. Then on my last night the toilet in the unit above me overflowed and was leaking filthy water into my bathroom!! I had to get all of my stuff off of the counter so it would not be contaminated. I called the office and they came promptly but only offered towels for me to clean it up!! They did not offer to clean or sanitize the bathroom. Thank goodness I had sanitizing wipes due to covid-19 with me to wipe down the bathroom so I could use it. I did have a balcony but I could barely see the ocean from it as I was on the first floor. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and the beach was beautiful as this was where I spent most of my time. The surrounding area had very nice restaurants and everything was close in proximity. Walls were thin, I could hear the person above my room snoring from time to time.
