What a waste!
I experienced this place to escape the crowded beaches in Sicily in August. This hotel is equipped with whatever guests can ask for, it s enormous and the two swimming pools are lovely. The beach is one of the best I have ever visited. So sad to notice that the hotel is very old but most of all, that bathrooms are dirty and this is absolutely unacceptable.
Cheap family vacation only
We were admittedly walk-ins, with no reservation, and managed to get the last room available. And it was obviously one of the lowest standard on site. No wifi in the room, only in the lobby and pool areas, and then only one device can connect at a time. So we had to take it in turns to check emails etc. This property, and most off surrounding area, is in poor condition and could do with a complete remodel to bring it up to a reasonable standard. We are pretty laid back and easy to get on with, so we don't complain often, but suffice it to say we won't be back.
Big views, big pool, friendly staff in this older style but very enjoyable hotel
loved the sea views and the House-martins chirping and flying around, pool is large and classic style with ropes and flags, staff were friendly especially the head waiter in the food hall who really looked after us with good humour. Good atmosphere on the beach but the music is generally ear splittingly loud which is odd as the guests are on the older side! Overall a great space, yes a little dated but clean and friendly and in a great location near Vendecarri and Noto.
Book only for reduced rates
We booked our stay at the end of the season for a reduced rate. Its true the rooms are a bit older but they are spacious. Breakfast was good. The oceanview / poolview room was beautiful. The pool was empty except for us, which was nice. The beach was easy to reach by bus and not busy at all mid September. Staff was friendly and helpful. Noto and Syrakusa are both reachable within 20-25 minutes. You should have a rental car, there isn't too much in the immediate area except for the beach and the broadwalk. We would stay again at reduced rate
Five days waiting for another house
Don't stay here! Lousy rooms from the 70's. They have wonderful sea view from many rooms but NO furnitures on the balconys. WHAT's THE POINT???? The staff is not polite at all. The breakfast is miserable. Thank good we have a car and we can visit good restaurants in the area
