Excelente Hotel, Deberían Mejorar su Servicio
El hotel es precioso, cada espacio está muy bien pensado y decorado con mucha atención a detalle. La ubicación es excelente, está muy cerca a St Charles Ave y también al French Quarter. La habitación era amplia y muy linda. El personal fue muy amable aunque tuvimos algunas mal informaciones. Hay un cheese and wine de cortesía que es muy bueno y el ambiente del hotel y del bar de al lado son excelentes. Se siente la tranquilidad por más de estar en el centro de la ciudad. Sin embargo tuvimos unos inconvenientes que no nos parecieron aceptables considerando la categoría y precio del hotel. En primer lugar, no había valet ni bellman cuando hicimos check in ni check out, por lo que no tuvimos mayor ayuda con las maletas. El menú de room service es muy limitado, especialmente después de las 9 pm donde sólo hay 3 o 4 opciones y no pueden acomodar ninguna restricción alimentaria. Fuimos mal informados con la música en vivo del bar ya que nos dijeron que era todos los días cuando era sólo los jueves y perdimos la oportunidad de verla. Finalmente, en cuanto a la limpieza de la habitación, pedimos turndown todos los días y sólo se hizo uno. No cambiaron la alfombra de baño hasta que lo pedimos después de tres días y tampoco aspiraban ni limpiaban el cuarto a profundidad lo que hacía que siempre hubiera pelusa o papeles chiquitos en la alfombra del cuarto. Nunca reemplazaron los ammentities del baño cuando se acabaron por lo que no teníamos algodón, kleenex, gorro de ducha, etc. Les recomendaría mejorar el servicio ya que es un hotel precioso pero al que le falta la calidad por la que cobran.

The maison is wonderfully welcoming and gorgeous. We come often to New Orleans, it was our second visit to the hotel, and we love staying here. Rooms are beautifully designed with a lofty feel, although as some have mentioned some things are not working properly. We were warmly greeted each day and the staff is mostly very attentive. However we’re a bit disappointed this time with the attention to our room. After one or two nights, we understand that things can get hectic and therefore forgotten; but after three nights of still no servicing we’re wondering if we said something wrong or forgot the magic word! Other than that, of course it’s a great hotel; just not exactly as merveilleuse as we once thought. We want to especially thank the hard working staff in Bar Marilou, who consistently go out of their way to make us feel special while working under very tight conditions, especially during this “covid” time.
Nice oasis in NOLA
Initially we were so thrilled to stay however there is a few areas that could be improved. The rooms and staff are both wonderful. The food is also good with the exception of room service that was delivered in a paper bag with plastic utensils. For 600 a night this was not acceptable. Breakfast took over an hour both days as they were busy catering to room service orders. The bar is extremely adorable and hidden. My biggest complaint was the bartender who was dramatic speaking aloud about how he did not want to work that evening. He then got a major attitude when he made the wrong cocktail for my husband. When you go to a bar you want to have a good time. He ruined it!
Charmed in NOLA
I had this hotel on my hit list for a couple of years. I kept an eye on it via social media and Tripadvisor reviews throughout COVID, and finally felt comfortable to take my first trip (solo) to NOLA. This property did not disappoint!Aesthetically speaking it is a feast for your eyes! Quirky details everywhere you look. My king room on the second floor was expansive...17 foot ceilings, a HUGE bathroom and the bedroom was no different. Clean. Quiet. Well appointed. The hotel’s location is perfect...an easy walk to the madness of the French Quarter or the cool warehouse district. Many really nice restaurants also within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. The speakeasy-style bar is a very cool spot and the cocktails were some of the best I have had in quite a while. Room service food (which they get from a restaurant across the street) was very good. The only improvements they could make would be to provide slippers in the room, make room service delivery a bit more consistent - as far as how it’s presented and to make morning coffee delivery automatic.
Simply The Best
It’s hard not to just go on and on about this wonderful property. All of the staff were cordial, kind and genial with each request or needing knowledgeable information. The room, the bedding, the bathroom were all perfect and spacious, the late afternoon bar was a joy and the apps. We’re yummy(the cocktails) great..... and the decor.... as a designer I can say that the detail to design and every nook and cranny was exceptional. Highest praise!
