Disgusting. Like sleeping in the armpit of New Mexico
Opinión escrita el 20 de Julio de 2021
On my way to the "Only available non-smoking room" there was a strong smell of mamajuana accompanied by loud music coming from the rooms next to me. When I entered my room there was a bad smell. The comforter on the bed was thin as a sheet of paper, stunk and had a hole in it, so I ended up using my sleeping bag on the bed. There was also a hole in the ceiling with exposed wires and a towel shoved in the hole! The bathroom was just as bad. There was long hair all over the toilet and the tub was gross. I can't believe I had to pay $110.44 for that room. There needs to be a policy to allow a guest take a look at the room before they pay. I was ripped off. Oh, and the "Continental Breakfast" they advertise was in a brown paper lunch sack the front desk staff shoved to me under the plexiglass barrier at the front desk. It contained a granola bar and a warm fruit cup. Do not stay here unless you plan on sleeping in a hazmat suit with a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Worst Motel in Moriarty

The first room we were assigned was a total wreck. The room was trashed, including feces still in the toilet. We were then given a room on the second floor. There is no elevator, so we had to lug several pieces of luggage up the stairs. The "luggage cart" was a shopping cart. The next room reeked of smoked and had very uncomfortable beds. When we called the motel directly to make our reservation, we were told they had a hot breakfast. The next morning when I entered the room designated "Complimentary Breakfast" it was used for storage with no food or drink in sight. I asked where breakfast was and was given bags with two fruit bars an a packet of fruit flavored snacks for each of us. If the Super 8 is the only motel available if you find yourself in Moriarty, do yourself a favor and sleep in your car. The total price for our room was $122.83
Excellent value in the desert . .

I consider myself a seasoned traveler, being in my mid 60's. I've stayed at 5 star hotels to the cheapest roadside hideaways. Super 8 Moriarty is really nothing to write home about. No fancy amenities like pools and weight rooms. Instead, I found a very simple, basic stop that was CLEAN and well maintained, a wonderfully friendly night manager that made me feel welcomed and that my business was appreciated.
After travelling from Georgia, this place was the jewel in the desert and was the 'best cup of coffee' in 1500 miles of driving.
As with everything else, every location is different and I've had less than desirable experiences in Super 8's in the past. So refreshing to finally promote a well run, clean and friendly staff. I was equally impressed by the courteous day managers that gave me my complimentary bagged breakfast with smiling faces. If you're in need of a clean, simple and comfortable night's stay, Super 8 Moriarty fits the order.

We have been stopping in to stay the night here for several years now. In 2019 we stayed in room 101 and the hot water pressure was so low you could not take a bath or shower. And the water never got hot no matter how long you ran it. The hot water was just a trickle. We reported it before we left. We stayed in the same room again this may 2021 and it still had not been fixed! Again we reported it and this time they came to the room and observed the problem promising to fix it before our return trip the next week or they would give us a different room.Long story short the room was the same way when we stayed on our return trip. The room is clean but you wont get to clean up after a long days travel . Also they are not serving breakfast anymore .Staff is friendly .Owner just needs to make repairs when needed. We probably will look for a better motel when we travel again.
Super 8 provided what we needed

We were driving from Southern California to southern Indiana and stopped st the Super 8 by Wyndham, mainly because it was advertised as “pet-friendly”—-we had with us our 2 new puppies; We needed a place where we could stop, take care of our puppies and ourselves, get a night’s sleep and be on our way again in the morning; Super 8 provided all of that.
