Room 101 the smell

Reviewed 4 july, 2022

Stayed in room 101... Rates went up because of the 4th of July. Around 8:30 AM every day u have the guy mopping with fabuloso the lobby. I can't stand that smell. Most things don't open in the area till about 930 10. This was a bigger room with some light. Make sure u pet the turtle in the fountain and the dogs outside the fat black one. See pictures attached

Great hotel in central Oaxaca

Reviewed 31 march, 2022

A true 5…..we were here for five days and had a wonderful time. Hotel was very clean, and the staff could not have been more helpful. This is a great location to explore Oaxaca and the hotel can help arrange tours, although we just got them to get us taxis and we went from there. Great breakfast that usually lasted us all day..super nice staff..

Nice Hotel, Excellent Location, Excellent Staff

Reviewed 24 march, 2022

Very nice moderately priced hotel. Right accross the street from the main mercado, and 3 blocks from the zocalo. The included breakfast was great with a number of entrees to choose from. The staff, including front desk, housekeeping and dining were all friendly and helpful

Great location, poor service.

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago but this time I have been quite disappointed. We reserved a deluxe king room via expedia. When we arrived we were given a basic room with a king bed. The wifi reception was terrible and the AC did not work at all. All of this was told to reception, but they rea.ly didn't care and did not fix anything. Because it was warm during the day, we were forced to leave the door to the 12" x 6' balcony open at night to cool the room. Unfortunately our room faced the Benito Juarez market and the noise and music persisted until 2:30am! Not much sleep at all! All in all a miserable 4 night stay. There are many great options to stay in this area. Don't. Are the mistake we did and book a hotel because it is available online. Use Google maps and look at the reviews and book direct with the hotel

Bright pink hotel in the heart of the city!

Reviewed 27 october, 2021

Great find in the heart of the city.not everyone’s choice but we loved it. Authentic, Mexican, nice staff trying hard to please everybody. There were young children in the courtyard, the hot water takes time to get used to so you need to persevere it’s solar heated be patient. Be nice to the staff and they will be nice back. It’s 3 star. If you don’t want Mexican, noisy kids, an old building that is right in the middle of a bustling all day market 7 days a week then it is not for you. It isn’t the Carlton, The Ritz or theFairmont. It is a fun little hotel trying it’s best in very trying times. Breakfast is simple, fruit water and coffee is in constant supply all day.. we loved it maybe because like us it isn’t 5 star. We think you were great Hotel Trebol and in fluorescent pink easy to find in the dark.
