Felt very welcome

I booked this place as it was cheaper than staying in Rothenburg ob der Taube and we were a group of 10 adults and 4 children. Its roughly 30 minutes from there. We enjoyed the scenic drive. We were welcomed by the owners with smiles and felt welcomed. The 4 rooms were set up perfectly.
We settled in and we all had dinner at 7 PM. The meals were absolutely delicious! The beer was good too!
For breakfast was the standard German breakfast which was great!
I can only say positive things about our stay as we truly felt at home.
Perfect for our family

We were very happy with our stay as a family. The rooms were large and there was enough space for all of us. Arriving late was not a problem. It was very clean. The kids were happy. It is well located. Nothing to add
Do not stay in a hotel where the owner has anger management problem!

It looked odd from the start: when we arrived, the staff continued doing something else for several minutes without paying much attention at us.
Then there was a problem: our Booking.com reservation showed free breakfast, which the hotel did not offer. It turned out to be a glitch in the Booking.com website, which they fully owned up to. Obviously, not a hotel fault. However, the behaviour of the owner was very rude. She shouted at us, she shouted at the Booking.com Customer Service, and then kept repeating, quite aggressively, that she had nothing to apologise for because it was not her fault. A notion of being at least polite to her customers seemed foreign to her. We felt uncomfortable.
Later that night, my teenage daughter found a dirty sock in her bed. During our two-night stay, the bathroom was not cleaned. A towel which we left on the floor was not changed either. We were not impressed!
However, all of that was very mild compared to the check-out. To begin with, the owner refused to accept a EUR 500 banknote. (The bill was about EUR 350.) Her argument was that she could not test if it was not counterfeit, and that I should go to the bank and change it. To avoid further shouting, I paid with a card instead.
Then, I told the owner about the dirty sock in my daughter’s bed and handed it to her (in a clean plastic bag). She replied that it was not her sock and threw it back at me. When I commented that I would expect her to be friendlier to her customers, she went ballistic. She physically pushed me, started shouting ‘Out!’ (in front of all my family) and slammed the door behind me.
It is not an experience which I would recommend to anyone. In one word, outrageous!
Which is a shame, because the hotel itself looks pretty new and is located in a nice village, very convenient for Rothenburg ab der Tauber (easy 20 min drive) and Würzburg (about an hour by train, station in 5 min walk).
Clean and new

Good place to stay when you return from Italy to Holland ..
But the owners seem te be quite stressed when they show you the appartment.
On the phone, the owner really yelled to his wife he had some dutch people on the phone.
When I payed and wanted to use credit card, they preferred cash and denied card transaction. They even didn't write us in by passport or drivers license, which I think they are obliged.
The appartment is very new (we were in 222) .. Close to a good road to Würzburg. Bakery in town, breakfast they asked 7 euro, we skipped for four persons.. we had breakfast and lunch for 10 euro for 4 persons at this bakery.
