More about the hotel
Wonderful Weekend Getaway
These guys are awesome! We received top notch friendly service from the gal at the front desk as well as the restaurant we had dinner at. The room was large and clean with little touches that made me feel special. The ocean view from our second floor was awesome. Bed and pillows are very comfortable.
As Expected
COVID -19 put a hamper on our visit. The public there were rude and inconsiderate. Drunk people trying to fill the elevator with my wife and I in it. I just said no and gave them the hand. They are like thanks buddy. No elevator rules. They do take your temp at the door and are trying to screen people. A lot of red necks don’t give a rip about others. The hotel was nice. A little wear showing. Broken hinges scraped off paint. Cabinet doors not closing correctly. Little stuff but a bit tacky. The view was awesome! The hotel staff were kind and cheerful. We had a king room. It was adequate. Nicely decorated. Gas fireplace. Nice Restroom area. Smaller than the pics show. We were going to stay longer but they tripled the rate so no thanks. We went to the Polynesian instead. Huge suite for way less. If the COVID thing was happening we might go back but I doubt it.
only ate at restaurant
We didn't stay at the resort- just gambled and dined. Because of covid they have some restaurants shut down- Only Ocean lounge and the Bisto/deli are open right now. We signed it at Ocean Lounge for dinner but noticed we were seated in the closed Emilys rerstaurant-(because lounge seating full) only the lounge menu, but we did have prime rib- it was ok
No good food deals any more and way too expensive wine!
We visit the QBR at least once per week. We were very disappointed this week to find out they raised the price of wine by 4.00 to 10.00 and it’s a small pour in a plastic cup. I did not notice any good food specials either. Too bad because we enjoy the casino and like to order a glass of wine but will not be ordering anymore 10.00 wine if we visit.
Nice dinner
Stopped by for dinner in restaurant. Buffet was closed. I had the BBQ ribs and wife had all you can eat crab and extra lobster tail. Food and sides were great but the ribs came with shoestring fries. Would have preferred thick cut fries also had a great desert. Service was also great.
