More about the hotel
Always enjoy our stay.
We have stayed at the Polynesian Resort numerous times in room 309 which is our favorite. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. The room has always been clean and welcoming. We missed the hot tub this time, but look forward to it being open in the future. My children and husband were excited that the pool was still open though. They usually have a nice continental breakfast as well, but as we know, not everything is normal right now. We will be back again, probably sooner than later. 9
At least it was dog friendly
We did a last minute family get-a-way and booked for a Friday night on Jan 1, 2021. I booked two rooms, one of which was pet friendly for our fur family. While it was nice to be able to bring the dog we had intended on staying another night until we had the unfortunate pleasure of speaking with the person who called us at 11:00 asking if we had checked out yet. She told me it was an 11:00 check out and we needed to leave. I had asked the previous night if there was availability in case we decided to stay another night and was assured there were plenty of rooms. I told her we had just picked up breakfast and were deciding if we should stay another night. She told me she would give me 30-min to finish breakfast and pack. She obviously could have cared less if we wanted to stay another night and was so rude about it that while we did stay another night at the coast, it was not at the Polynesian! Wont be going back there.
Lovely getaway
Staff was so nice. Everything was clean and masks were required in all public spaces. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Our room was a 2 bedroom condo with a beautiful ocean view. We enjoyed the space so much, the living area was great and gave everyone some space to use. The beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows. Fireplace was a lovely option! We weren't confident enough in our ability to start one that we didn't use it but one duraflame log was included in the cost of the room. It was a lovely getaway on the beach.
DIRTY HOTEL
This hotel was so dirty there was rest on the refrigerator there was dirty dishes in the dishwasher there was no pots no pans nothing to cook rats had to call the front desk to get that they gave us pans that were filthy dirty and microwave was completely dirty with a napkin still in their dirty. Then there was a real fire and we had to evacuate for kids to and which were little ones that were sleeping had to leave and check out everybody was leaving nobody was saying we left and had to get another hotel room could not get into the front door because everything was blocked went got a new hotel room came back to get the rest of our stuff in the fridge and they said they would not give us credit back we will be contacting the corporate office tomorrow and if we do not get a refund our bank will be contacting them do not stay at the Polynesian very very dirty
Not completely thrilled with it.
The "Poly", as the locals call it, has been an upscale Ocean Shores mainstay for many years. Those years, however, are catching up with the facility. Price, vs. what I got for a room, were not completely in-line with each other. I expected a slightly nicer room for the money. There were Many Covid-19 protocols in place and that was the more comforting part about my stay at the Poly. Good for them...
