I almost gave them a 4, but wow - some of the hardest beds I've ever slept on. It was like sleeping on a trampoline. We were all up several times during the night. Other than that, it was a nice place to get a night's rest. Our room was clean, though a bit dated. Same for the lobby. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly. With so many hotels now doing breakfast, it's changed how I see it. This breakfast was average with the basics: waffle maker, cereal, fruit, a few packaged pastries. The pool was nice: brightly lit with warm water. The property itself is in a nice location, with the Oconto River right across the street and plenty of places to walk to. Overall, it was a decent stay, except for the beds.

Our stay at the Econo Lodge was fairly nice. The staff was pleasant and our room was clean but dated, however the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We enjoyed the indoor pool which was not too cold.

Nice staff; room not clean; noisy fridge and A/C

First, I will say the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. However, the carpet was entirely spotted and stained. The sink appeared clean and I can only hope that in the age of COVID were disinfected well. (I didn't see anything that detailed measures that have been taken in the rooms, though there are clearly some at the front desk). Felt more comfortable that we at least brought our own pillows. Refigerator was loud--sounded like the buzz of an alarm clock--so has to turn it off. A/C was also very loud when it came on. Not many options in Oconto, unfortunately.

Place is dirty

The staff is nice and breakfast was ok but the place is dirty. We planned on staying for 5 nights but the carpets were so dirty and dark spots on the walls of our room. The sheets and comforters had dark spots all over them also. We left after one night. You pay for what you get! If the rooms are that dirty then we couldn’t trust the pool to be clean either!

Came across Econo Lodge in Oconto during a road trip. During check in they were very helpful with recommending local restaurants and activities in the area. The rooms were clean, they have have an indoor pool and waffle breakfast that my son loved! Would stay again!
