I must preface this review by saying when I arrived I had just driven thousands of miles from the East Coast and I was tired and irritable. some thing about the desk clerk Fabian though don’t know if it was his smile or Willing nature made me feel welcome and all of my tiredness and irritability just drained away. We called down to the desk and asked for extra towels and they kind of have that yucky powdered creamer in the room so we asked for half-and-half he was happy to provide it. The room was immaculate a small studio but well appointed very clean and nicely decorated The beds were very comfortable and the pillows just a perfect amount of softness The breakfast was hot eggs sausage and bacon and for too many other things to list here excellent selection good choices for people with dairy or wheat allergies as well. There is a nice little pool and courtyard area. There’s a nice community space in the lobby with comfortable seating a television or computer and tables where you can work I homeschool my children and I was able to sit in this lobby area all day and take it vantage of the Wi-Fi it was a very productive space and in the afternoon they put out a snack of cookies and lemonade There are laundry facilities and they provide hangers and laundry baskets in the room I was pretty impressed and the services are provided for free We only stayed one night but I could’ve seen us staying for a much longer time. We travel frequently for my husband‘s job and I wouldn’t mind staying here for an extended period the morning desk clerks were just as friendly as the night clerk and we felt welcome sometimes we find ourselves between spaces especially when we’re traveling from one city to the next and check out time can be an issue for us as I am blind and don’t drive The day clerk happily extended our checkout to 4 o’clock I have never experienced such a courtesy in my life we were permitted to have our room and hang out in the lodge until my husband was done with his training I will come here over and over again I’ll never stay anywhere else when I am in Odessa if I can help it

Room was in poor condition (walls, carpet). Heater/air conditioner thermostat was impossible to regulate. Try to cool to 70 and you freeze. Try to heat to 70 and you bake. I would set to 70 and would go up to 82 degrees. A business associate who was staying a few doors down from me found a couple of cockroaches in their room. Hotel breakfast was same old bland fare and worse.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! NOT MARRIOTT QUALITY, more like a motel. The computers were down to check in, and we had to wait for 30 minutes. Hubby and I checked in and went to our room. The toilet didn't flush, so we had to ask to be moved. We moved to the room across the hall. Everything seemed to be clean. We took a shower the next morning and saw how they tried to cover all the nasty mold with the trash can. This is disgusting and unsafe. No wonder my asthma was triggered while sleeping. Never again!!

Broken window and a leak in the ceiling. How is this room rented out. Where are the standards.? These problems have existed for awhile. See the pictures. Conditioner bottle empty. Front desk staff are friendly so that is why it’s 2 stars. Stay elsewhere.

This hotel was a one-night stop for us on the way to Austin. We didn’t pay much for our room and it was worth about that or less. The rooms are called “suites,” but that is a stretch. While there is a “kitchenette,” with a full-size refrigerator, microwave and small sink and cooktop, it is tucked into the entry hall so that there really isn’t any more square footage. The room was about 80 degrees when we arrived and the A/C unit is a wall unit that is LOUD. We shut it off when we went to bed, but had to turn it back on during the night because the room was so hot (and it was about 40 degrees outside). The toilet paper and tissues were beyond cheap and could be used as sandpaper in another life. Breakfast was a meager affair and not at all appetizing. I almost wish they would just offer coffee and a box of really good donuts. They had a small popcorn maker filled with popcorn for guests, but do you really want to dip the scoop into something that maybe other guests have had their hands in? Why not put it in bags for guests to grab as they go by? But I suspect that would require effort. Our room was quiet (except for the aforementioned A/C unit) and the bed was comfortable enough. Still, this Towneplace Suites gives me pause for a different Towneplace I have reserved in the fall . . .
