Should not be in the hospitality business.
Truly awful experience. Booked a Saturday night stay. after we got to our room at midnight, and started getting ready to go to bed, we noticed the floor was soaking wet and the beds were pretty gross. A/C was running and said it was 69, but felt muggy. The entire property reeked of mildew/ mold and the seemed to smell like cigarettes, even though they are explicit in not allowing smoking. We called the front desk to ask for another room, they were fully booked, but offered a refund if we wanted. We accepted and left to go home. The next day, the manager messages us to say they will not refund and they didn't believe our story. I just got off the phone with the owner, Ron. He said they checked the security footage and didn't see us leave and that he thinks we made the whole thing up to get a free room. he told me to dispute it with my cc company.
Here is what I will say-This is a crazy busy area in the Summer and they don't need the business, they charge $300/ night and get it. The property is VERY tired, the beds are very thin and old, the whole place smells despite the overwhelming candles in the lobby. They are used to people behaving badly, so no matter what, you will not get the benefit of the doubt. So, buyer beware. They are making a lot of money in the summer from their proximity to the PIB Ferries. If you have an issue-too bad, they will not stand behind their property, the condition or the service. The worst part? The belligerence of the owner and managers.

Our Guest was a quaint place to stay. It is an older motel, kind of grandma-chic. The room was spacious and the bathroom was super clean. The bed was a little firm for me. Overall, we didn’t spend much time here, but it was a fine place to sleep after a long day exploring the islands and surrounding coastal towns. I would consider staying again.

You get what you pay for. That being said . . . the bed was horrible (the springs kept sticking into my back). Towels could be used as rags to wash a car. Each morning, we were greeted with bugs in the sink (baby roaches? not sure...) The room is dated and has not been refurbished from the 80s. Close to area shops and bars. There are other choices... pick them.
Overpriced Poorly Maintained

Check in smooth but first room assigned reeked of cigarette smoke and the couch was torn/tattered. Second room was better but the layout of the room is very tight and poor. Rooms are tiny. Could barely get past a dresser and the end of the bed. Bathroom sink/counter is outside the bathroom making it difficult to wash hands or use the mirror without waking/disturbing other family members. The washcloths were literally so thin and had splits in them. Very slow elevator. But of all of this the thing that was most disturbing was the fact that the guests were not following CDC guidelines or the Ohio Governors mask mandate. When I voiced my concerns to the front desk they just looked at me like I had two heads and could care less that the guest were not wearing a mask and getting on elevators and in all the public areas. Also large groups congregated by the outdoor fire pits. I did not feel safe at all staying in this place. I would not recommend or ever come back.

I forgot some places have these nasty pet friendly rooms. Smelly, nastiest carpet i have ever seen. Review and zoom the pic before staying here.. we used towels for runners when shoes were off. No doubt the worst $167 room could imagine. One night was too long. Great location to restaurants though.
