Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in
Reviewed 18 november, 2021
We stayed in time out for 1 week me and my partner was in room 327 and his dad who travelled with us was in room 331. The check in was fine and informative however when we arrived in the room we had no running water from the sink and also had a cold shower !! My partners dad had no water at all for 3 days despite complaining. Now by no means does time out claim to be a luxury hotel and yes you don’t pay luxury prices but I would expect a clean room!! Your room is only cleaned every 3 days so if you’re there for a week it’s basically once as to get a room clean on day 6 seems pointless. You also have to request your room to be cleaned and the staff aren’t happy when you request this. We had to ask for clean towels 3 days in a row so they expected us to have a shower in either freezing cold water which wasn’t barely a shower more like a drop of water or in my partners dads case to not shower at all and then to be given 2 towels for 3 days for 2 people seems obsurd. We waited in the rooms several times and was told towels would be brought to us which resulted in us wasting not only time on our holiday but for me a hotel is a hotel it however needs to be clean and have great staff that is what makes a good hotel. The staff in the restaurant amigos we’re so so rude aswell!!! We once waited an hour for them to even take our breakfast order despite asking 3 times and we had an excursion booked so we left for the day hungry when I explained this to the lady she laughed at me. I would not ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Honestly if you’re thinking of going to Barbados trust me pay the extra couple of hundred and stay somewhere that’s clean and the staff value your custom
Great price and great stay.

We visited Time Out for our 2 week holiday to Barbados. We were really impressed with the hotel. The highlight of the hotel is the staff, every member of staff we encountered was kind and courteous. The room was nice. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning was superb. We requested for our room to be cleaned every day, which it was to a really high standard. All of the public areas were well maintained. Really appreciated that all of the public toilets were always clean. The pool area was lovely and relaxing. Again kept very clean, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The only thing that *slightly* let the hotel down for us was the restaurant. We ate here for breakfast and lunch most days. The first week the food and the service was faultless, but in the second week the food wasn’t as good and it often took a long time to come out. The staff were consistently friendly and polite though. The location of the hotel is ideal. Just across the road from the beach and a short walk to plenty of restaurants. There is also a small shop sort of in the hotel, and there is an ATM a 2/3 minute walk up the road. We had a room which overlooked the main road, we didn’t have any issues with noise at all. We saw some monkeys by the pool so look out for them!! Also can always see planes on approach into BGI in the afternoons which was great! Beach towels are available at reception free of charge. Overall, we would definitely return. For the price you can’t go wrong.
Perfect - reasonably priced - base

Let's start with the obvious - Time Out is not a luxury hotel and nor does it pretend to be - if you want to spend your holiday in a lush hotel room then waste your money at somewhere like Sandals up the road !!! Time Out gives you a clean room, a decent bed (no wet linen or humidity as per reviews below - if sheets were damp ask for them to be changed!!! No excuse for the humidity comments as all the rooms are air conditioned so presume that wasn't used !!!) and bathroom and generally makes an ideal base for your holiday. Our room was on the first floor and had a balcony, kettle, tea and coffee and a fridge as well as internet and cable tv (cable tv is rubbish (not the fault of the hotel) - dodgy 'personal injury' programs like Judge Rinder and wall to wall adverts for prescription drugs, medical companies and personal injury companies. We downloaded lots on Netflix before travelling. ) The room can be cleaned as often as you wish by placing the 'please make up the room' sign on the outside of your door so you get fresh linen and towels. Hotel also provides pool/beach towels at no extra cost so you don't need to pack one. We found all the staff (and our thanks especially to the lovely ladies on Reception) to be extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The pool is lovely and is surrounded by palm trees and pretty plants as well as plenty of sunbeds, parasols and patio tables and chairs. There is an attached restaurant 'Amigos' which provides some good food and where you can get drinks, cocktails etc. This was our first time at the Time Out Hotel and we would go there again and would recommend for those looking for a good albeit basic base for your holiday. Pros - reasonably priced. Clean basic accommodation giving you a decent bed, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, own bathroom, balcony (upgrade) with great staff in a good location for Dover Beach and all local restaurants, bars etc. Short walk to bus stops if you want to travel around the island. We also had an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Cons - don't expect glamour. The 'road' side is VERY noisy - Barbados wakes up early and taxi's rock up at 6am with their stereos blaring, leaf blowers are out in force, people shout to each other, construction work goes on etc., If you are a light sleeper ask to not be 'road' side. (2) the safe in our room didn't work/lock so was a bit pointless - but that might have just been our room. Our thanks to everyone at Time Out, including the hotel manager who made the time to come and introduce herself, for a fab holiday. We would certainly stay there again. Nicky & Phil (207)
Quarantine at Time Out
Reviewed 16 september, 2021
Too many mosquitoes on the property. Sheets weren't dried properly so they smelled terrible. The staff gave NO guidelines as to what one can and cannot do as a quarantined guest. The bathroom had little to no complimentary anything for such an expensive rate for 1 night. AC unit & remote weren't working. The bathroom needs remodeling. Booking online said the money would have been taken off the credit card same time, got there and found out we still had to pay...ridiculous
Awful - do not go here

Not sure where to start - the broadband does not work, the room is so humid that the sheets are wet, the floor and walls are wet so the risk of slipping is immediate. Further the walls are so thin that you can hear everything happening in the rooms next to you / street. I left after one night because my stay was so appalling and having been told by reception that I would receive a refund, management subsequently denied this and send me unpleasant emails with totally fabricated accusations about my stay. I would avoid this place at all costs.
