Quite lackluster and needs some attention to detail!
My friends and I spent the night here recently and we were less than impressed. The front desk worker was not welcoming and seemed to be bored with helping us. The rooms are small and quite a tight fit — not to mention that any soundproofing is nonexistent. The hotel appears to be somewhat new, but our shower door handle was about to fall off and tiles were missing from the shower. The hair dryer was older than I am and sounded horrible. Lastly, the soap and lotion dispensers are very hard to use — especially for someone with arthritis like me. I literally had to have help to get soap out of the dispenser. Epic fail in my book. I will not be back to the Tru hotels as so many of the hotel Hilton hotels are fantastic! JMHO.
Nice stay, but misleading
First time in this hotel. Very nice stay. Like the contemporary look. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5-star rating is that I was misled by their website. They advertise an airport shuttle. After checking in, I inquired as to the schedule and was told it was not running due to Covid. I understand the reasoning, however, their website needs to inform future customers about this. There are plenty of other hotels that offer shuttles.
Very uneven experience
I have stayed here before and liked it. This time not so much. The first sight that greeted us at the back of the hotel was a overflowing pile of trash by the door. This hotel is usually very clean so that surprised me. Check in was fine and I was informed that breakfast was very minimal bc of COVID. They didn’t tell me that they don’t have daily housekeeping unless you request it:( After first night, had to fetch my own towels. Next night was told housekeeping would not be available at all. Every morning bags of trash used towels food containers and pizza boxes left in hallway. The tiniest room I’ve seen outside of NYC. Very noisy street noise. I don’t know if every hotel around is struggling because of COVID but I’ll think I’ll try another one next time
Clean room. Newer Hotel. Check in staff were rude.
Stayed here one night. Checked in, apparently using a card that was different than the one used to reserve the room (not sure what the big deal is as long as the room gets paid for). Clerk was quite rude towards me about it. After my card was ran, and the transaction was approved, offered no apology for calling into question my integrity. Room was very modern and clean. Entire property was newer and very modern. I would have gladly given a 5 star rating if not for the rude front desk staff.
Great stay!
We had a clean and comfortable room. Hotel is conveniently close to Will Rogers World Airport. Very hard to beat the price. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
