Fantastic value for money 😎
Just returned from 11 night stay @ Karbel Beach Hotel on a Half Board Basis Wonderful Hotel, Location is Fantastic, Good selection of Food @ Breakfast & also @ Dinner. Staff are Pleasant & Friendly; Rooms are kept Spotlessly Clean on a Daily basis. All Staff from the Cleaning Ladies, the Restaurant, the Reception are doing a great job Would Highly Recommend this Hotel & Hope to Return in May next Year 😎👏
Weather fantastic, great location, small pool but good enough, rooms clean and tidy, maids done a great job, loved coming back some days to see what they had made from my towels (swans etc) balcony very small 2 chairs only at a push . Staff lovely and man on bar in the evening was great one of the best always smiling willing to talk lovely to see. Did bed and breakfast due to Covid they served u instead of help yourself, did feel looked over and watched tea/coffee cups tiny take your own like most ppl did, Covid not a problem temp checks, sun beds sprayed daily only thing I would say thou in the 2 weeks we stayed I didn’t see the pool get cleaned once and we were out early everyday till late around the pool , pool side half mopped dirty floors, but didn’t put us off 🤣. Great location close to beach and strip, beach pebbles and shingles , did the jack sparrow boat trip £12 each food included good day out well worth it, £3 in taxi to next town Hisaronu lot more shops restaurants and shops . All in all nice get away considering what’s happening at mo, face masks were shops only until last 2 days then it was suppose to be everywhere, some where some weren’t 🤷🏻♀️ music stopped at midnight half way through the last week . Think they are just trying to control there R rate like everyone.
Good value for Money
We enjoyed an 11 night stay at Karbel Beach after The Belcekiz was closed and our booking transferred. It is a small friendly hotel with mostly helpful, pleasant staff. The rooms are small but have everything you need and are spotlessly clean, as is the whole hotel. I have to commend their efforts with the Pandemic. Every morning they were out with the disinfectant spraying everything, handrails, sunbeds and pool area. They also have sanitiser on all tables in the restaurant and bar area as well as sanitising stations throughout the hotel. Food - Breakfast - If you are a typical Brit and like a wee sausage you will be disappointed (The only wee sausage I got was my hubbys), however if you like eggs you are onto a winner! Scrambled, boiled, fried, omelette and any other possible way you can cook them, they did! The continental selection was much more substantial. Dinner- By the time evening meal was served the dining hall was like sauna and if you are a lady of a certain age like myself it can be quite uncomfortable, despite fans throughout the room! I was quite mortified that I had left a puddle on the plastic seat coverings on a few occasions (Quick exit!) and hope they didn't think I had piddled myself! The rooms are nice but the balcony is too small with only room for 2 chairs and no table. My hubby and I usually like to sit and get a bit merry while playing cards before we hit the town so we were pretty respectable on this holiday for a change! I would recommend the Mojito bar for drinks, cocktails were lush and strong (just as I like them!) and the soul music is fab! Good for a boogie too! One for the Road, Cosmos, Funky Beach bar and VIP all good too! If you are eating out you have to go to Jade cafe/restaurant - We had a 3 course meal with 2 bottles of wine for £55! The food was Al a Carte, the service outstanding and the view! It is located on the front overlooking the beach. I would advise you book a table the day before if you want one at the front. The boat trips are amazing (We booked with Excite and recommend them) as is a trip to The Blue Lagoon and watching the paragliders while having an afternoon aperitif in The Tiger Bar .This was my first time in Oludinez and I would have to say one of my favourite holiday destinations and would definitely go back (tomorrow preferably!) All in all a fantastic holiday and although I had a few gripes with the hotel I think it is good value for money.
You get what you pay for
Flew home yesterday after a ten night stay. Hotel was ok for the money. Room was very clean for arrival, beds comfy, towels fine. Pool was small but good. I imagine there would be huge issues getting a subbed were we not in the middle of COVID though. Most beds were taken before 11am with a limited number of people travelling which leads me to believe there would be issues under normal circumstances. People complain about the food but I thought the food was ok. Not a huge choice of hot stuff but what was there was good food. Soup was good. Desert was a bit hit and miss. Issue I had with the dining room were the staff. There are three who clear the tables. I found them quite intimidating because the tended to stand watching you with their arms folded waiting for you to finish your meal. It was quite intimidating sitting there while three men stood just right there in a row watching you eating, the worst offender was the smallest man who wore glasses. I found him quite rude. I usually leave a tip for restraints on every holiday I go on but I did not leave a tip on this occasion. Why not? The smallest waiter with the glasses attitude stopped me tipping. The hotel is well placed for shops, beach and blue lagoon. Would I return to this hotel? No. Why not? Dining room staff put me off big time. Didn’t feel comfortable in the dining room at all. Also I think there are other better hotels we could have gone to for the same money if not a little less. Last point. Don’t use this hotel if your disabled, it’s not set up for disabled as no matter where your room is you have to either go up or down the stairs. No lifts. This is not the hotel staffs fault. It’s the design Of the hotel.
Quite disappointing stay
I am still here, leaving tomorrow evening. Arrived late at night 19-20 August ( after 3 am on 20th - already was charged for 19th, paid for late room checkout, but just been told that it has to be by 6 pm - my pickup from the hotel at 10:35 pm - have been asked to pay again more, for a night, if wanted to check out later than 6 pm. What was the point to pay extra, if I am on the beach till 7:30, so I may have to just check out in the morning then. Wonder, if I get my money back that I paid for late check out. It wasn't value for money for me. Cost almost £800 just for myself. Used to go to Turkey quite often, but recently prices gone up dramatically. Couple of good things about this hotel. Firstly, it's located quite close to most beautiful beach in all country. Secondly, the food, even not much choice, but quite good, there various and quite tasty things every day for dinner - plenty of salads, fish, different vegetable's dishes, but could have done with better choices of fruit. Can't comment on desert, as don't eat it, but other food was plentiful for my taste. Cleaners was working hard to keep rooms clean, but towels was so old and there hardly any toiletries given only soap and shampoo from the start. Have to change rooms twice, as first one was too noisy and smelly, second one- have had very noisy neighbors ( soundproof is quite bad here), last one is better, but stinks of smoke and next door neighbors are smocking none stop. It's an issue in Turkey- hard smoking. Even stuff is smoking outside the reception and smoke goes to the restaurant. They should have dedicate some blocks for smokers and none smokers. For me smell of smoke really spoiling this beautiful place, as Oludeniz is just amazing. I even decided to buy a property of my own here, so I don't have smoking neighbors 🤣
