They canceled my upcoming reservation with barely 2 weeks notice. The email was VERY unprofessional with typos and spelling errors. I honestly thought it was fake at first. Their only reasoning was "unforseen circumstances" and now all the hotels in the area are booked out in a 40 mile radius.

Breakfast was a joke. Cereal but no milk. Coffee was not hot...not even warm. I assume it was from the previous day. Trash in the breakfast area from previous day. Microwave was dirty outside and inside. Tables were dirty. Lobby has flooring missing. No furniture in lobby. Entryway is dirty. Toilet in my room had a dirty ring in it. Outside seating area had ashtray full of cigarette butts. Bed was comfortable.

Hotel has not been well maintained. Dirty room no way they are cleaning extra due to covid as one of the beds has stains. The room is dusty. Looks like they are not able to properly fix things. Did not know when booking that pool would be closed absolutely no breakfast. Tv remote doesn’t work. Hotel is worth $40 night not 70. If I wasn’t from here and familiar with this part of town I would not feel comfortable to stay here alone. When I first found my room the door wasn’t even latched. I didn’t hang my clothes due to a weird smell in the closet. The security camera in the hallway you can walk by and unplug.
1 star for no bugs and 1 for friendly employees

Run down and outdated outside and in, dirty, filth on walls and curtains, scum line on bath, black line in toilet, tons of black debris in AC unit which was not sufficient to cool the room. No AC in halls or main area. Pool down b/c of covid (despite other area hotel pools functioning), ice machine not working, laundry facilities down all issues employees claim to have just happen with in days but have been mentioned in reviews for a year now. Want a nice cold coke from the vending machine? Good luck, they were sold out. Shampoo/Soap/Lotion samples were used, all of the seals were broken on arrival. When housekeeping cleaned our room the floor was never swept, I had to stop housekeeping in the hall and ask for our room to be swept despite it clearly needing it (ball field dirt, kids snacking). Several families traveling with us had room issues which could not be resolved because the entire 3rd floor had been shut down and the hotel was full despite us never seeing more than 5 other guests the entire stay. The 3rd floor had been shut down a week for "maintenance" no employee could explain but no effort was made to contact guests letting them know the rooms they had reserved for a month were not going to be available. One parent was staying with teenage boys, not her own and was only given one bed despite booking two. Due to a baseball tournament in town moving was not an option, everywhere was booked. Breakfast was a stale muffin (all bags were banana muffins no other option) a oatmeal raisin granola bar (raisins yuck) a piece of fruit and a water. No other options. Of all the people we were traveling with we were the lucky group that got the room we reserved and didn't have the AC break down in multiple rooms. I would assume the issue is there isn't enough staff to keep all rooms up and running combined with zero money being invested into upkeep or maintenance of the hotel. But hey, there weren't any bugs and the employees were friendly despite the massive pile of complaints they must deal with daily.
remodel this property

This property should not have been reopened after covid shutdown. It was dirty understaffed and run-down. Starting with the parking lot which was full of weeds and potholes, through the lobby which was under furnished with dirty floors and shabby sofas, this facility was a complete disappointment. The rooms were dirty (after walking in bare feet and entering the shower I had mud!). A/C in the room didn't work the first night of the stay. We were promised a move to a different room with functional A/C, but no arrangements were made so that when we returned from work in the evening the desk clerk had to move us from a king suite to a standard room. The clerk was pleasant, but spent the entire interaction bemoaning the ineptitude of his boss.
