One night stay on the road - that's maximum
Sleeping on the way is sufficient. A voucher on public parking. Spaciously equipped room, the shared terrace with neighbors over the flower pot. The staff doing just what they have to do, and not too willing.
Nice room but not so friendly staff
We stayed at hotel Tyrol which was close to hotel Elefant and with same owners. Lovely balcony, comfy beds, pretty garden, clean rooms, great wifi. The breakfast was not too impressive and the staffs English was poor and they were not so friendly.
Disappointing
The hotel is nicely decorated in both the rooms and communal areas and the food is quite good but what lets it down is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. The room I stayed in overlooked the road and due to the temperature I was forced to have the windows open. It varied between 25 & 28 degrees during the night I stayed here. I was woken up at 3.30am the first time, then again a short while later just when going back to sleep. Delivery lorries etc appeared from around 4.30 so at 5.15 I gave up trying to sleep and got up. I was part of a coach and fellow travellers were put in a room with no window, just a fan. A shame as the staff are nice and friendly. Make sure if staying there you get a room at the back.
Good hotel in a nice town
I have stayed here twice. Once cycling from London to Italy and then again, but cycling from Italy to London. The first time I had a quiet room in a courtyard. This time the room overlooked the road. It was hot and we needed the windows open but even though the road wasn't busy, when a car, lorry or bus did go past t was noisy. The room had a balcony. They were very helpful in providing secure bike storage. We ate a really good spaghetti pomodoro and had a great breakfast. Highly recommended.
3day break
I was here this month with my partner. The hotel is very clean and the heating works very well. The room we had is nice clean and the bed was very comfortable. As this I think is the quiet time you do not see many people around. Breakfast is good and dinner too. The knowledge of German is a must, but they do speak Italian and English. If we had snow I expect the place would have been a good place for skiing.
