Divi Aruba Beach Resort All Inclusive

The happy island 🏝 that is true for the most part but waiting in line for 30 mins DAILY to make reservations at the resort restaurants is not so pleasant. The best part is that after you wait 30 minutes you find out everything is booked except the red parrot and your still two days out until your reservation request time. This obviously is not what we payed to do . The front desk will blame the wait on the two concierge‘s working there butt off pushing through people that wanna rent quads and other things and also making families in-house restaurant reservations. So for the front desk employees Shame on you for watching us wait in line during our time sensitive vacation . Here is a ingenious idea, maybe dedicate a divi employee to only Handel in-house reservations. That way we wouldn’t be waiting in line while other paying guests look at photos of butterflies and wild excursions that your also making profit on .

This is the first review of an accommodation I have ever done, but definitely feel I should share it because my boyfriend and I felt a little let down by this resort. I think it's also worth noting that this was our first time doing an all-inclusive experience anywhere, so we went in not knowing what to expect. First thing's first, the island and beaches of Aruba are stunning. The location is perfect and we could not get enough of how close the resort to the beach. Also this resort is generally always clean and the visuals around are quite beautiful. Most of the staff are friendly and willing to help you as much as they can. To start, the food is mediocre at best. We realized that we paid for quantity over quality and probably would not choose that again. By that I mean, you have like 6-8 different options of food to choose from, but as a result you will sacrifice quality (instant mashed potatoes, warmed up items, etc.) My boyfriend received a cold dish from Paparazzi (their italian fine dining place) at one point so they took it back and then came back with a "fresh plate," but it was actually the same dish and they simply put under a heater for a few minutes. The drinks are served in the infamous Pizza Hut cups but we appreciated their desire to be eco-friendly. You also need to make sure you find the right bartender or you will get drinks that are straight sugar. Ask the bartenders to specifically get you the kind of liquor you want. Now, the rooms. We had to change rooms not once... but twice. The first time was not entirely their fault but I definitely think people should know that the walls are VERY thin. We were unfortunately next to a family that would yell/cuss at their kids all the time, thus we could hear every conversation and their screaming children very clearly. Within 4 hours of our arrival, we felt so stressed and exhausted so we kindly asked them to move us and they did. We felt relief getting to the second room because we could already tell it was an older crowd in the building and pretty quiet. However, we set foot in the bathroom and IMMEDIATELY smelled sewage. There was 100% a leak in the walls or pipes of the toilet somewhere and the smell was god-awful. We tried to stick it out that first night but by morning, we could not do it anymore. We went back to the front desk and they proposed using "Clorox" to help, which was insulting because we all knew it was only going to help the smell for a few hours. They did not acknowledge it as a structural or maintenance issue and never apologized, but still agreed to move us anyway. We got to the third room and luckily we did not have any problems with that room for the rest of our stay. There were a lot of other small things too: 1) we did not have all the supplies we needed at one point (no hand soap, no open outlets to plug appliances in the second room), 2) we were there on the "love couples discount package" and went to grab our free champagne bottle and glasses, only to find that the glasses had a thick layer of dust all over the glasses and champagne bottle we got as a "complimentary gift" and we never drank it, 3) If you do not make reservations for dinner ahead of time, you will likely not be able to eat at any of the restaurants. Overall we had incredible moments on the beach and met wonderful people, but felt disappointed by the Divi Aruba. We hope to come back to Aruba someday, but will look into another resort or hotel at that time. I hate leaving a review like this but just want to be honest here because I would want people to let me know this stuff before you drop money like this. Hope this helps!

This was our second time here. We love the property, the beach is private and quiet. We upgraded to a beach room and it was well worth it. The staff could not do enough for us. The buffet was good and the Italian restaurant Paparazzi was amazing. They have nightly music by the pool. I hope to return next year. Sherwin at the buffet was super nice!!!!

This was the first time we visited Aruba, we usually go to the Bahamas. We read all the reviews and we were ready to experience the island as a family. The airport and transportation to the resort was easy and seamless. No issues at all! Once we arrived, our check-in was, once again, extremely easy and fast. We did not wait in any lines at check-in, or actually any lines all week during our stay. The staff were beyond wonderful at every turn. The service at the restaurants was impeccable and the staff at the pool bars were wonderful as well. I wish I would have remembered more staff but a few that were amazing were; Michael at Lime, Shirley at the concierge desk, Asia, Mary and Yvencia at the Pelican and Cecilia (cook) at the Pelican. By the way, we never waited for a table at a restaurant and sometimes we were earlier than our reservation (the reservations are easy to make). Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we would DEFINITELY go again.

The food was great, no need to pay for another place to eat. My room was better than I expected, beds were beyond comfortable, slept like a baby the whole trip. Staff was friendly and attentive. Concierge was extremely helpful with everything we needed.
