Left covered in bed bug bites. Very disappointed with my stay. No refund was offered. So if you want a cheap stay, a loud environment that keeps you up most of the night, and the ability to leave in a worse condition then you started, well this is your place to stay.

Chose this place upon recommendation from a friend for a cheap and easy getaway to break the monotony. One of the few places in Portland to still offer smoking rooms. It looks like there has been a remodel done recently, which makes it OK. I should’ve booked online as there much better deals than what I was given when I called directly, which feels like a rip off. Most losing will give you the best rate when calling directly anymore. The room was ready at check in time of 3 PM. Check in staff was nice. They present you with a full page of policies to sign that essentially runs down all the felonies and misdemeanors you’re not supposed to commit while on the property. So that gives you insight into what the problems might be in this area. In it two queen room, one bed seemed newer and of better quality, the other was springy and poor. Room was clean and didn’t smell to bad for a smoking room. No microwave or hair dryer. (One micro available in the office.) Water was hot and plentiful making for a good shower. The wall unit for heating cooling has a fab You could leave in which was nice. Tv is tiny. Worked for what we needed.

Overheard a conversation between Scott an employee at the chestnut tree inn and a guest about being sexually assaulted while staying at the mall 205 location. Also I was told by an employee working at the chestnut tree inn that I could book for 3 days for $60 a day plus tax. When I attempted to check in/pay there was somebody else working. I was told the price was now $80 a day and basically either pay it or leave. When I asked to speak with the manager he came into the office area and stated that there is nothing he is willing to do as he was technically supposed to have the day off! In top if horrible customer service the rooms are disgusting. You can find way nicer for same prices or less. Do not stay here. Enter at your in risk.

Tried to cancel our second night the next morning and we were told we couldn't cancel. Forced to pay for a night we didn't stay in this horrible place. Our confirmation listed a cancelation time that was hours before we ever made the reservation.

I did not find something especial about this place! It did not have basic amenities like iron, hair dryer and microwave! There was an oven in the kitchen but there was no dishes so anyone can heat his/ her food! I think the oven was just for decoration bc there was no dishes in the cabinet!! I do not recommend this area!
