More about the hotel
Comfortable, clean and charming
Stayed for six nights and very pleased with my room and the guesthouse. Bathrooms are shared but kept spotless and bedroom (#2) was very comfortable and quiet. Basic breakfast available in shared kitchen. Everything you want. Great neighborhood and easy to get to from the airport. Will be coming back.
Excellent location and amenities
We stayed for three nights. Room was clean and comfortable and location was perfect - 30 minute walk to the river and close to the Japanese garden, Rose test garden and Pittock Mansion. Neighbourhood is friendly and nice restaurants and coffee shops. Good Jazz at Joe's on 23rd. Bathrooms are shared but there are three so no waiting involved. Highly recommended.
Relaxing, clean, lovely, and the staff are so helpful!
I stayed end of July in Room #2- the bed was so comfortable!! All the shared rooms, including the bathrooms, were always neat and clean. The location was very convenient- very close to restaurants, drug/grocery stores, and train station. I got to meet Tim on my check in day and he gave me all sorts of great tips re the city and places to go. Both him and Stephen were patient answering all my questions/emails leading up to my visit. I am definitely going to book with them again next I am in Portland, and I highly recommend them!
Great place to stay
We stayed here one night. I would recommend trying to get the parking pass in the lot next door as it looked tricky to find street parking. We had the pass and it made things a lot easier--but there is only one. Very clean. Never had to wait for the bathroom. There are 3 bathrooms and any guest can use any bathroom. We stayed in room 6 which was on the third floor--only downside was lugging our luggage up there.
Conveniently located
Others have done a good job of describing the features of this affordable Portland accommodation. We found it suited us well for a two night stay. The exterior could do with spruce up but inside it's clean and tidy. The one mistake we made was not to ask about rooms requiring less stairs access. We were on the top level and getting our bags up and down multiple flights of stairs especially the steeper than normal top flight was a challenge.
