Ok but nothing special

This was an ok place to stay for a family of 5. Pros include: easy access to Hollywood Studios & Epcot via the Skyliner, rooms with a small/kid-size bed for a 5th sleeper, very quiet rooms, an ok pool for kids. Cons - mediocre food on site, only offering maid service every-other-day & very minimal service at that (they won’t touch your bed at all), everything is spread out so there’s a lot of walking around the property involved in your stay, nothing special or “Disney-ish” about the place. There are very few interactions with staff members, so there is very little opportunity for that special Disney warm welcome that we had grown accustomed to. In comparison, we had excellent, magical stays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge & Boardwalk Inn.
Its a shame

-They state: “During your stay, your room will receive a light cleaning….”
That means that your bed will NEVER be made, removal of trash and replenishment of towel every other day.
We have never been adviced when we made the reservation about this.
We dont have a microwave in the room.
Good but not for that kind of money

This place is generally solid but Disney needs to do some renovations as the rooms seem old. The wi-fi in Martinique wasn’t very good. The staff generally does a solid job and the pool is really nice. Sometimes the shuttle to and from the Magic Kingdom is VERY slow.
Nothing Magical; just old

This place is a dump by Disney standards. Its like a chain hotel where you drive up to your room. We’ve stayed at Beach Club and Contemporary and I realize these are more expensive. But whoa! I was taken aback at the lobby chaos, lack of Disney charm and the condition of our room. And Covid seems to have really taken the stuffing out of the cast members. Nothing but sympathy for them having to work through these unusual circumstances but you pay dearly for that “sparkle” and superb customer experience.I was in the lobby 3 hours trying to just find a more suitable room. I stood there watching the check-in guest service personnel stay on hold with other employees (long story.) Ended up staying in the crappy room even after all of that. This may be our last time at Disney. It’s just not worth it. And as I write this review, I smell the faint odor of urine in this pirate themed (double) bed. Yuck. Disney, you make hand over fist and charge outrageous prices. You should update this ridiculous resort.
Checked in and stayed for two hours

We knew better. We never had a good experience at Disney properties. But for a short weekend we thought lets try again. We checked in to Caribbean beach and only stayed two hours before checking out. The air conditioning was not turning on. Room was over 80+ degrees. We called maintenance, front desk, disney customer service. No one came to service room. We took ice cold showers but couldnt cool off. My toddler was miserable. At one point we just decided to check out. I went to the front desk and asked for a manager. I said I wanted to check out- the manager Andy didnt ask why and frankly I didnt care to discuss at this point. I didnt even care to argue. I just wanted my money back. He advised to discuss with hotels.com. I turned and walked away. This type of service is horrifying. Not to mention calling this property a hotel or resort is an overstatement. The rooms are dark and dirty and bare. Its like camping- but not even glam camping. I wouldnt stay in that room for free let alone the hundreds they were charging a night.
Save your money. Do not stay here. We love disney but if they cant keep the Air conditioning working in august in orlando- i cant help them.
