First time we’ve been since COVID. 3 year in a row. Most of everything is still the same. The only thing I hated was the breakfast was closed. Still would not go spend hundreds of dollars elsewhere since we would not spend much time there.
First Covid Trip
Did not want to spend my money traveling but I had to get away for quick Disney trip. Saw this hotel in my budget. Comfortable beds and most staff was friendly. No complaints if your are a budgeter like me.
Terrible
We paid for the upgraded lake view room. Upon arrival we were told that they were having issues with hot water in that building, so we got downgraded to a poolside room. We walked into the room to notice blood stains on the sheets, broken furniture, filthy carpet. The lock on the door did not work. No hot water in that room either, and when I notified the front desk I was met with attitude as if they did not believe me. We weren’t offered a different room instead I was given a key to a different room just to take a shower. The hairdryer broke and sucked my girlfriends hair into it, we spent 10 mins trying to get her hair out of the hair dryer. The shower drain was so slow drawing that you would be standing in 3” of water. Everything about this hotel might’ve been nice back in 1984 but this place is in dire need of renovations and a management that actually cares. Toms of cigarette butts and beer bottle caps littered the landscaping. You could see day light through the bottom and side of the door, and the door was so old that it would bow when pushing or pulling it to open or close. We needed up leaving early, demanding a refund and booking a room at a Hyatt.
Economical place to stay
written by hotel “The hotel actively provides compliance with both State and Local County ordinances and requirements as it relates to COVID-19 safe practices and social distancing requirements.” If your looking for a budget friendly hotel and can overlook the following, you may want to book this Gem!!!!! Staff and guests in the lobby were not and did not wear wear masks upon check in. Rooms surrounding the main pool seem to be the only rooms maintained. The two rooms our family stayed in (moved rooms after our initial complaints) Furniture was in dis-repair, 0 towels in room upon check in, Ac/heater non-functioning, smell of mildew, carpeting burned in spots torn and frayed in others. Building 6, apparently the party spot for degenerates. Partying in the parking lot until 4am smoking weed drinking and blasting music in their cars. You may ask why not complain to management? We did, and this was the building managements answer, move us to the back of the Property where all of this was taking place. Did i mention the roaches yet? Yeah, several found in building 6. If you want a place to party, this is the spot. If you want a place to stay with your family, pick another hotel.
SCAM - HORRIBLE hotel don’t waste your money
It’s totally a SCAM. The room was so old, filthy, mold, and no house keeping when we checked in. They will charge a resort fee of $25 per room per day. we switched the room 2 times and decided canceled our reservation. It’s HORRIBLE hotel. They should shut down.
