Clean stay during Covid
We visited Orlando for 4 nights in January. I chose this property because it offered a one bedroom at a great price and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. I noticed that many of the negative hotel reviews at this time had to do with hotels not having a hot buffet breakfast at this time. Hello, pandemic anyone? I went downstairs once and the nice ladies served breakfast in to-go containers that we ate in our rooms. Definitely a nice touch, but not a requirement for us. I found the rooms extra clean. We did not have maid service (also fine), but I did have to ask for extra towels (delivered promptly) and garbage pick-up (also picked up promptly). We stayed at this location because of its cleanliness rating and room options even though we were visiting Disney instead of SeaWorld. Still not a bad drive to the parks. I did use the workout room. Only one person allowed at a time and you had to sign up ahead of time. Front desk service was very friendly. Most guests did wear masks. I would recommend this hotel most definitely.
Nice hotel with polite staff
We stayed at the hotel from 10/24-11/1. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Other than the beds seeming to be fulls rather than queens, and the couch not being very comfy, we had a nice stay. The water pressure in the showers was nice, the full sized fridge was great to have to keep bottled water and other drinks cold. It was cheaper to pick up a case at the grocery store versus buying all of them at the parks. The feather pillows were not the best, but foam pillows are available upon request. Due to COVID, we had no room service, unless requested. When we needed clean towels, we picked them up at the front desk. Also due to COVID, the breakfast buffet was not available. During the week, grab and go breakfast was available. It included individual bowls of cereal, microwave breakfast sandwiches, milk, OJ, granola bars and muffins. On the weekends, Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and bacon or sausage were available with the same drink options. Any nights we were in the room, we used a delivery service to order in food for dinner. Overall, the stay was nice and quiet and I would recommend it to someone staying in the area.
BEWARE! Hot breakfast is NOT hot breakfast.
Tired rundown not kept up Marriot property. Supposedly recently renovated. BEWARE! Hot breakfast is NOT hot breakfast. Couch very uncomfortable and green light flashing from smoke alarm in bedroom is VERY annoying while trying to slep
Not as advertised
We stayed at this hotel for the express passes At SeaWorld. Upon check in told they are not giving them. I received a letter from the hotel about Covid but it didn’t mention this. Was told the hotel could give Me free parking, come to find out it’s for SeaWorld and not the hotel. I’m an annual pass holder so that made no sense to me. It seems as though the hotels are reducing services but increasing fees. The night manager was helpful but the front office staff was quick and not friendly at all.
Stay HOME until after COVID
It began with reservations. They did not disclose the $150 pet fee when asked if they were pet friendly. When I explained this to the Mgr, they did comp me $60 towards the pet fee which was nice (but I honestly felt the fee should have been waived.) Hotel staff was great, but the room stunk terribly, to the point I went to the front desk with our concern. I was told all the rooms were that way due to bad water (which made the in-room coffee unbearable). The front desk gave me some room deodorizer. Then we found out that the on-site restaurant was closed, even though the website says open for lunch and dinner. They need to update their website to reflect accurate information. When I originally inquired about the breakfast (with reservations) I was told it was a limited Continental Breakfast. It turns out that meant water and a granola bar in a bag to go. I understand COVID restrictions, but other members of our group stayed elsewhere and didn't experience these type problems. All in all, I'm going to write this off as COVID related, but I don't think I'll come back to this hotel, and I definitely do not recommend.
