Great value
Stay here is you are looking for a great value stay. I found the shuttle on most days to be quicker than the water taxi at the other resort BUT you will be slowed down with security. We stayed one night here as we extended our trip to get in a day earlier.
Started well.... Ends poorly.
So first of the hood things. Location/transportation and I'm moving on. The hotel rooms are spacial and bright. Clean and since you're in charge of cleaning them (hands off cleaning) that is not really a thing to review. However. The hotels restaurant. Food on night one. Amazing for a resort. Pizza had very good flavor. Second night. Oh where to start. Soda ? Don't try mixing at the stations. It won't end well. Selection. Nope don't worry plenty of machines. All out of any real favorites. Odd. 7pm and not soda to be had. Cooler empty. Machine. Empty. Don't worry plenty of beer and wine. Here little Johnny sorry they don't have anything else. Sure the five year old will enjoy a PBR. LoL. Over all with the crowds (your hour head start is a waste) this resort is not a great option. Save the money find a partner hotel and sit back and enjoy... Sorry Universal swing and a miss. Oh we also had two hotel changes prior to arrival. Not upgraded just changed !!!! Sad sad experience. ** Social distancing was NOT high on the list of things seen. Packed in common areas and then separated at lines? Guess the virus knows the difference.
Nice!
Rooms are very warm. Check in is very slow. I paid for a water view and got a view of lobby roof. I contacted manager twice and she said basically I’m stuck with room. Flying from west coast and I’m told to move rooms the next day, again. I’ll stay again because it’s new. It’s really beautiful!
Fantastic visit
We only stayed one night but starting at the early check in on sat 3/13 the service was awesome. The man who checked us in was mitch at 430 am. He was so friendly. Got us us great deal, a great room, and really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. What a great employee and ambassador for your hotel. The room was great. We were on the 14th floor so the view, especially at night was beautiful. Loved the shuttle so we didn't have to fight the traffic. They run continuously so there is no need to drive.
What a wonderful surprise!
We stayed here for 3 nights while we were exploring the non-universal things on our to-do list and I have to tell you this place is a MASSIVE value. The suites are huge and easily could be a mid level room on disney property. While the rooms don't offer copious plush chairs or couches, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are quite and remarkably clean. The pool is large and heated, with a bar and food options readily available. We never had to wait for a shuttle for the few times we decided to have dinner at City Walk either. I love the Deluxe on property resorts, but this is a great option for budget conscious travels, or folks looking for an inexpensive option for a first or last night stay. Staff is, as usual with Universal, impeccable!
