Lovely hotel,with location, location, location!

We found the Swan hotel as wonderful as we hoped it would be. It could not be better located if someone is to visit the Disney world parks.
We were a family of four. Two men and two women. When we checked in, I asked if they had adjoining hotel rooms to accommodate two people each. They were happy to find us a unit that had two queen beds, with an adjacent room with a king bed. The bathrooms were wonderful, as they each had two sinks. The rooms had a coffee maker with coffee, teas, and of course the sugar and creamers. There is also a small safe for small valuables.
The rooms were clean, with a nice selection of towels. Due to COVID, there is not daily room cleaning service. But there is enough towels for a few days, and toiletries.
The beauty of the location is the hub for transportation options to and from the different parks. For Epcot and Hollywood Studio, the boat took us to the entrance to Epcot. To get to Hollywood studio, we took the boat to Epcot, got off, talk the aerial gondolas to Hollywood studio. For Magic Kingdom, we took the bus out in front of the Swan, to the ticket center, got off and rode the Monorail. To get back to the Swan, just reverse. Disney is magic at moving people, and all the transportation options were perfect. This alone is a great reason to stay here.
We were being very careful against COVID. So we had room service a lot. It was fabulous food, and no more expensive than most of the restaurants. You don’t go to Disney for cheap food!
The Swan is beautiful, with many large swan fountains and gorgeous lighting. It is serene and has lovely pools with waterfalls and a water slide.
I highly recommend the Swan, and would go back in a heartbeat.
Terrible Hotel. Dont’t stay if you want a good time at WDW.

From the check in to the check out, the staff shows no interest in the guests. At check in they hand you a full page sheet of instructions, including the text number to get housekeeping.(I am now doing their work). The room was nice. When we went to dinner at Kimono(food was good) and they presented the check there was no pen to charges to the room, I was told to show key to get a pen. (They should ask before if I am a hotel guest). When I got the bill they doubled charged the resort fee. Also when we got to the valet, they lost our keys(Not sure this was not done on purpose). Thank G-D my wife had the spare farb. They could not find it. The manager only wanted us to leave. My wife went to get a cup of coffee. The only thing the manager did was check to see where she was in line (NEVER offered to pay for the coffee). They could not find the keys but took my phone number telling me that they would be in contact during the day (I had to call 5 hours later and at the end of the day, and was took we were going to call you. They said they would pay, we will see if they do.
The hotel manager does not know how to handle problems and the staff told me life there is terrible. The atmosphere is poor and you should avoid these hotels( Dolphin and Swan) at all costs. The cost is High and the service stinks and below standards. An economy hotel offers better service.
Disney trip without rental car

With the high rental car prices, we decided to stay on Disney property for the first time. This location is great with easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios - we used the boat transportation instead of walking. Bus transportation to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs was usually reliable. We also used the Boardwalk and Beach Club resorts bus stops on occasion (they drop you directly at the main gate for Magic Kingdom).
The room was beautiful - we had an upgraded corner balcony room through Costco. Very comfortable beds. We had an issue with the air conditioning not working on our last evening. It was fixed within 30 minutes of our call on a Saturday night. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The coffee shop was very convenient for breakfast each morning. There is also a small market on the Boardwalk that had some breakfast grocery items to purchase. The pools were beautiful and mini golf was a short walk across the street. Would definitely stay here again.
Annual Disney Trip

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean. Only complaint it the old tub. While the bathroom appeared to be updated the tub was not. Looked like the tub was chipping on the bottom. We stayed four nights and there was no housekeeping. Apparently it’s every 6 nights. We were able to take toiletries and new towels from the housekeeping carts. I wish it was every two or three nights….just to take the garbage and provide new towels and toiletries. I knew that this was not a Disney owned property but I still expecting the busses to drop us off where Disney hotel busses are able to drop guests at but apparently a change was made last year and the magic and animal kingdom busses park where non-Disney busses park. For animal kingdom it was fine but for magic kingdom it dropped you off at the TTC and you had to take a ferry or the monorail to get to it. This was disappointing. The ferry boats to Epcot and Hollywood Studios was nice. The reason for the 4 rating is the lack of a bar that wasn’t geared towards the business guests. A nice pub type bar would be a good addition, the busses to magic and animal kingdom, and lack of housekeeping. I would not recommend this hotel for families that are only going to the parks. Boardwalk would be a better option. I would recommend the hotel for conventions or business travel.
Great Family of 4 Disney Stay

We had a great stay at the Swan! Awesome location for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. The bus also worked out well for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. The Bonvoy app worked well for requesting housekeeping services. We would definitely stay again!
