My room was gorgeous and large with a decorated room and clean. This hotel is pet friendly and very clean. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. The hotel was decorated with a cabin like resort theme and gorgeous. This hotel is also a supporter of the local university and has many items on display of the UMaine Black Bears.
Great price, nice hotel

Originally was going to stay two nights, very easy to add an additional night. Staff was courteous and room was clean. Morning breakfast had good selection. Overall, no complaints and I enjoyed my stay.
What a great place -

You have to stop by here - we loved this cute hotel - it is a bit dated but I loved the bears everywhere - The room was clean and neat - I found this to be a great location. Very comfortable stay - they did require masks which I liked. If I come back this way I would definitely stay here.
Great stay during UMaine visit!

Stayed at this hotel while on a college visit to the nearby University of Maine. It was conveniently located near the college and near several dining options. While the hotel was not super fancy, it definitely seemed nicer than most hotels I've stayed at in this price range. It was evident that they put a lot of effort into decorating the grounds for the fall season (pumpkins, etc.) and the black bear theme throughout the hotel was a nice touch. The breakfast options were also better than you normally get. It included the usual standard bagels, cereal, etc., but also offered premade breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, and some sort of french toast bake (?) that my daughter particularly liked. It was a little bit of a drive (about an hour and 20 minutes), but we made a couple of day trips into Acadia National Park. Staying in the Bar Harbor area in a similar quality hotel cost twice as much so we didn't mind making the longer drive in. We will definitely stay here again on future visits should our daughter decide to go to UMaine!
The bear hanging on the main foyer is great; but I didn't get my roomkeeping items

It's a bit outdated but otherwise relatively well-kept hotel in the outskirts of Bangor, Maine. About an hour or so away from Bar Harbor. Lots of black bear decorations. That's all cool. As this is covid times, room housekeeping isn't going to be done during my stay and that was okay; we were told to mark a piece of paper in the room and leave it out with other toiletries and whatnot. So I did that. ... after returning to the room that day, I found no items by my door. It was late and no one was at the front desk, so I just had to make do with whatever I had lying around my room. The breakfast was okay at best, but given the price, it's not like I was expecting lobster. I'm still a bit miffed about the lack of my housekeeping items not being left for me. That's all they had to do, and they didn't do it. I would have given a 4. But the one thing they should have done, they did not, so I can't even really give them an average. So I won't. This was a very short-notice trip. I don't really expect to come back to this hotel again.
