Inexpensive
The room was very small, the bathroom even smaller. The floor in the shower was broken tiles, could not take a shower. A hand washbasin was located in the tiny bedroom. No hooks to hang up anything, very limited shelf spaces. No shelfs whatsoever in the bathroom/shower. The bed was worn and the comforter was too thin. The room was cold and we could not turn on the radiator.
A gem and a must stay location
Right in the heart of the old town sits The Hotel Posta. You can walk anywhere in town from here and it’s a lovely old property with a private back garden. The staff (we dealt mainly with Francesca) are really helpful and friendly. There was a mix up with room selection on our arrival and Alessa the owner and Francesca fixed the problem. We travelled with our little Yorkie and she got lots of love and attention. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Orvieto!
Fabulous
Fabulous five nights, I really did not want to come home. The staff are so lovely and accommodating and make you feel at home. The rooms were bright, spacious and spotlessly clean. It felt like you really were in Italy, with the clock chiming and the sound of the cathedral bells. A little piece of heaven. A good breakfast was served every morning and the cappuccino was excellent. Location was perfect, so close to all the main attractions. I would not hesitate to return or recommend. The highlight for me. The view I had for breakfast every morning by the open garden door. What a way to start your day!
Central and Friendly
A taste of real Italy in a 500 year old building. All staff super friendly and helpful. Very personal - after 4 days we felt like old friends or family. Central to tourist attractions - across Rd from supermarket.
Fabulous and Central
Fabulous little hotel right on top of Orvieto. Central to everything! Across the lane to little supermarket for self catering. Super friendly and helpful staff who have enough English for tourist needs. Brilliant! Comfy bed. Ample breakfast. Highly recommended. Ask for room overlooking garden - cater your own lunch of olives, bread, cheese and wine and bask in real Italy.
