Hotel am Nikolaiort

Stayed here with two old army pals for a nostalgic return to Osnabruck. Excellent little hotel, clean comfortable rooms and a first rate breakfast. Central location with an abundance of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Thoroughly recommended.

We booked this hotel for a one night stay on our car journey through Europe. We found the garage that is located underneath the hotel easy and very convenient and worth the money. the rooms are clean and well maintained. We had 2 rooms as we are a family of 5. 3 of us stayed in a lovely room with a roof terrace. Breakfast buffet in the café on the 2nd floor in the morning was well stocked and fresh. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hard to get too enthusiastic about the place although it is perfectly adequate for what it does, providing no-nonsence, clean and functional accommodation in a very central spot. It is actually on the upper floors above commercial premises and large underground car park, accessed via stairs or a lift to the reception and breakfast restaurant above, with the rooms arranged around a central atrium. Not excessively noisy bearing in mind the location but when the hotel and other guests "come to life" you will probably find that you do too.Rooms adequate if a little spartan, clean albeit decoration would be beneficial soon. En suite again adequate and functional albeit almost Ibis-like in a sort of plug-in-use-throw-away-when-done sort of way. Pleasant, helpful staff and good breakfast offer. No restaurant actually ON site but very nice Bavarian-style restaurant just up the road is understood to be in the same ownership

A very nice and clean hotel at an excellent location , right in the centre of the town, in walking distance of everything. Lovely and friendly staff. Great breakfast with a good choice of products. We had have an excellent time there,

We booked multiple rooms at this hotel right in the heart of the Osnabruck shopping district. The local team was warm and welcoming when six of us arrived at 9am (HOURS before check in) from the overnight flight from the US. We sat in the bright and modern breakfast room worked quickly to get our rooms finished. We had an apartment as well as two larger double rooms on the breakfast room floor. The apartment was perfect as we had a big family event that week and could meet there to chat. The rooms were lovely with views of the Katerina church. My aunt and uncle stayed in a standard double room which faced the inner courtyard. It is worth it to get the larger room. Breakfast was standard European fare. We were there a week and there was enough variety for us. The hospitality was great. The team was warm and friendly. They did our laundry (for a fee, but we had clean clothes!) and helped us with whatever we needed, professionally, but also like a family. Points to note which didn't bother us, but could impact others: - the hotel is on an "island" in the middle of a busy road frequented by buses. Noise sensitive people could have an issue. - no air conditioning. We were there with warm but not excessively hot weather and had no problems. We will stay here whenever we are in Osnabruck. Can't be beat for the price/location.
