Address
Th address is not 104 but shampine lane. Great hotel friendly people! Room is spacious and fridge is a larger size! Dishes provided in room! Friendly service. Selection at pantry was minimal. Great place for a family!
Great hotel
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I’d go again if I needed too! Really nice place and super clean, breakfast was grab and go but was actually really good! Pool was nice kids enjoyed it
Dirty Rooms
We were coming to watch our son graduate from SUNY Oswego. We had made the reservation more than a year ago anticipating a nice stay.We arrived late in the evening and tired to check in. As soon as I walked in the room I noticed hair in the shower. Then I looked in the kitchen cabinets and they were dirty as was the refrigerator and stove with unclean plates and utensils in the drawers. Next I opened the bed and found lots of hair. We went down to the front desk and asked to change rooms. I could tell by the clerk’s face that this had happened before. She gave us another room on the same floor and it was worse than the first! This one had orange crumbs in addition to hair in the bed. What cracks me up is they had a seal/sticker on the door to signify cleanliness. Ha! Obviously that doesn’t mean a thing. We went back to the front desk and they looked sheepish and agreed to let us leave without charging us. They said their manager doesn’t want to fire the housekeeper during COVID. That’s no excuse to have unclean rooms especially during COVID!! Thank goodness a competing hotel had rooms that night. We moved there and it was like night and day! Friendly staff, extremely clean rooms and $100 cheaper per night! That was our saving grace and we were finally able to get some sleep.
Trip to visit family
Visit family in Hannibal, uncle is terminally ill. We did enjoy the room, I feel little effort is made to provide a hot breakfast. While staying at another recent hotel a staff member was available to serve from behind a counter one family at a time and some seating was available while still being COVID safe.
No Hilton standards here
This has been our "go to" place, when staying in the area but this will be our last. Due to Covid guidelines, there was of course, no breakfast but their "grab & go breakfast" was a miniature breakfast sandwich, mini yogurt and granola bar. The biggest disappointment was housekeeping, maintenance and the front desk staff. We were there, for 5 days and our room had a coffee machine, that made one cup, with a special pod and only 2 provided. When we asked for more, the front desk clerk gave us one. On more than one occasion, we had to wait, for 5 minutes, for someone to come to the front desk. You had ask and retrieve your own linens, TP, etc, since there was no housekeeping, unless you stayed, for more than 5 days. The shower had mold, in it, a lamp wasn't working, there was a hole in the ceiling, the carpet was dirty and the holder, for the chain to pull the curtain, was broken. No vacuuming was done, in our hallway (the same piece of paper was on the floor all week) until the night before we left, when we wanted to go to bed early, due to an early departure. Then they decided to vacuum, at 8:50 PM.
