Better inside than looks outside
Balcony was in awful condition, all covered with white pidgeon waste, and we did not have any possibilities to leave our cycling gears in the balcony for freshmen. Breakfast was good, and stuff helpful.
Aqua Hotel
Great location in Ovar and close to Furodoro beach. My family and I had a wonderful experience here,.... great staff, very welcoming and informative. The indoor parking is good for small to mid-size cars otherwise there is plenty of free parking across the street. The rooms are a good size and the breakfast buffet is amazing. We were 3 families and each had a very happy experience!
Good for a night or two
This is a good hotel for a short stay, but they need to pay attention to certain things. Many traps in the room, short steps in the entrance to the bathroom, no bidet, slippery floor, the extra bed was not very good, and though the breakfast had some variety, not acceptable to have only supermarket baggetes in Portugal. Many packaged things, some still fridge cold. Not accessible, you have 5 steps just to reach an elevator which will take you to reception. Service and cleaniness good, but dont expect much
Ok for a night or two
Generally speaking, this hotel is good but with several mistakes which makes it ok for a night or two only. The bathroom, for example, looks like someone built it and then someone else came and tried to fix things: the makeup mirror for instance, is there because the other mirror is too far away if you have to put contact lenses on, etc. Breakfast was ok, although this is probably the first hotel in Portugal where I'm staying that doesn't offer the normal, local, delicious bread - just supermarket bread. Coffee was from a machine and that is blah. Lots of packaged stuff, too. On the good side of things, they had fresh fruit for breakfast, the bed was comfy, room was clean and tv was functioning properly.
Centrall located .
Close to restaurants and bars in little squares. We had a room at the back so it was very quiet. Ate our meal in the hotel and the restaurant manager was very accomodating as he had a large tour group in that evening. The buffet breakfast was good with a lot of choice. We only stayed one night as we were on a bike tour but the hotel has a very safe underground car park where we could store them. A modern commercial hotel with friendly, helpful staff.
