From the moment we arrived at the hotel and were directed to the onsite car park to the moment we left, we were well looked after and every member of staff we spoke to dealt with our requests with a smile and a chat. The room itself was on the small side but had everything we needed including super comfy twin beds, a lovely modern shower, plenty of wardrobe space and bathrobes / slippers. We sampled the meat platter in the bar on our first day which was very well cooked and served and filled us up until dinner time. Great selection of drinks including some lovely wines and gins all served with a smile and a laugh from Placedo despite us being a little loud! Big shout out to George on reception as well who was very helpful and accommodating despite us bombarding him with our many questions!

The hotel is ideally located for a vacation in Oxford, being situated on the High St. And just a few minutes walk from the shopping centre and restaurants, with a good bus service and a stop nearby. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly and very helpful. Please be aware that this is an old and probably a listed building and lift access is not available for all rooms.

Just visited again and what a wonderful hotel it is. The staff are very accommodating to my list of needs and always with a smile. The room is clean and while a bit small has everything I need and a great view of the old buildings opposite. The location is absolutely perfect and I will definitely be back again soon!
Good but could be better

Great location for all of Oxfords attractions. We were allocated a room in the annex behind the hotel. The room was nicely decorated but a little dark as it only had a very small window. Large walk in shower ( although we had asked for a bath ) Massive wall mounted TV a bonus. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant area were being refurbished so could not be sampled. Very small car park and have to leave car keys at reception in case they have to move it, bit expensive at £20 per night.. However would stay again if visiting Oxford.

Hotel is really well positioned for exploring Oxford. As in centre of town our room was quite noisy and car parking was tricky. Room and bathroom were spacious and there was an impressive television. Corridors were over heated and reminiscent of university halls of residence. Breakfast was really crowded and COVID 19 measures like social distancing / fresh air supply not present.
