Good Budget Hotel and Friendly Receptionist
The Receptionist (Ray and Nicky) are so friendly and nice. They give a best room to us (4 persons). If you planning to buy local tour trip, you can get in this hotel as well. They will provide you the towel before the trip and return after the trip. Walking distance from hotel to the Patong Beach Walking Street (Bangla Road). We miss the aunty selling Pad Thai at the road side along this hotel so much. :)
Hotel Needs updating
I stayed in Aspery hotel for 6 nights. The hotel isa bit dated and needs updating. The rooms are average and bathrooms a bit scruffy. The toilets in the lobbyare much better and modern. The stff are good ans attentive. The restaurant is ok with a buffet breakfast but selection a limited. Location is close to the beach
Nice hotel, but has gotten a little worse lately
Have lived here 4 times now the last few years. Located well, good room. Be careful not to book the standard rooms, as they are located in another building and it can be a bit difficult. But what we now think is becoming a problem is that the staff seems to be tired, which does not mean that the service is as good as it has been. Another thing that we have seen now the last two times is that the breakfast has become considerably smaller and deteriorated. Two years ago it was the delicious breakfast we had in Thailand but now they seem to save on small things, But the hotel can still be recommended.
good budget hotel
We stayed for two nights. Hotel has two buildings. We stayed on another building. It gives feel of service apartment rather than to stay in a hotel. Option for vegetarian is less. But one can survive with good continental breakfast. Fruits served were good. Rooms are decent and bathrooms are neat. I advice for budget friendly tourist can stay there.
Ideal place for beach an nightlife
The hotel was in a good place, a couple of minutes walk to the beach and to restaurants, nightlife. The hotel was a bit of a let down. The restaurant part of the hotel was on the front street, the hotel entrance was down a side street. The hotel consisted of 3 blocks which were all down this side street. When we were checking in i just happened to mention there was a lift in the hotel, not in the block we would be staying in. We had to pay for an upgrade to one of the buildings with a lift. The room was very basic, the mattress was so hard it didn't even dip when you laid on it. We had a balcony that looked out onto a brick wall. The rooms were above a laundry. The pool was on the roof of the main hotel so you had to come out of your hotel walk down the side street, go in the main hotel for the pool. So when you have finished you had to walk down the street again dripping wet to go to your room, wasn't ideal.
