Amazing Experience, Beautiful Antebellum House!

The Denny House property includes they land where the old fort once stood and the lick for the which the town and creek are named Paint Lick. My Guthrie ancestors were original owners of the area likely staying in the fort. The house is incredible with its Antebellum pillars, grand staircase, parlor, dining room, and bedrooms. Our rooms were upstairs overlooking the front yard. My room was the Miller Station room with its comfortable 4 poster bed, fireplace, and wonderful bathroom. We took Southern Belle photos, strolled down to the barn and creek, enjoyed bourbon in the parlor, and had a great time trying beers with the owner, Mark while learning about the history of the area and touring the grounds. Breakfast of Eggs Benedict, blueberry muffins, fruit, orange juice, tea, coffee, etc. was delicious being created and served by Vicky. The hospitality was through the roof. Great place for photos, weddings, anniversaries, or a weekend getaway. We had a remarkable time and would go back in a heartbeat! I highly suggest staying at the Denny House in Paint Lick!

I can't say enough good things about the Denny House. Located in a scenic and quiet area, perfect for a relaxing trip. Vicky is an exceptional hostess and her breakfasts are incredible. Rooms are well appointed, linens are quality and the grounds are perfect for an evening stroll. Had a chance to meet the owners who gave me some great tips on where to hike nearby. Will definitely stay again.
Our First B&B in Kentucky

We had a wonderful time at the Denny House. What a beautifully magnificent house! We were even more fortunate that since we were the only visitors, we had the house to ourselves. Vicky was wonderful meeting us there and getting us all set up. We stayed in the Traveler's Porch and the balcony has quite a view. We were extra lucky that it had snowed the night before and it was a postcard view of the balcony. We cannot recommend it enough. Even if you live in Kentucky, this is a very relaxing place to stay. The dining room where we had breakfast is set up quite beautifully.
Relaxing stay in a historic Bed and Breakfast

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Denny House. Vicky, the innkeeper made us feel welcome and served us a delicious homemade breakfast in the formal dining room. We stayed in the Traveler's porch room and we had a private balcony. We also booked the Hidden room which was convenient for 3 people. The rooms were comfortable and each one had a chair that we were able to relax and read.
