This place is apparently run by liars and thieves. We booked a room, and somehow the booking was lost. They find a room for us, and it’s quite clearly not what was advertised nor the double room we requested. Ok fine. The room is also dirty, no climate control, and the bathroom has a noisy leak. Since this is not what we booked, we decided to cancel. Then the bs starts. First they claim we “used the room”. All we did was move the blanket after finding a hair, to check for more. They use this as a reason to deny our cancellation (it was done through hotels.com). After much convincing, they finally agree to allow it. We leave. In the morning I find out that they again changed their minds (or flat out lied to get us to go) and have denied the cancellation. Renting a cheap and bad room is one thing. But they went above and beyond to lie and cheat us. Claiming we used the room, then lying to us about agreeing to the cancellation is just ridiculous and shows they are just greedy and dishonest people. The rooms themselves might be worth the low cost, but dealing with dishonest people is not.

Great value for money

Great location (right opposite the church of Saint Domenico), rooms are basic but very clean, ideal if you want to stay in downtown but can't afford expensive accommodation. More than anything, I loved the staff: from the cleaning ladies to the receptionists, they all give you a warm welcome and go out of their way to help you. A special thank you to Sadik and Monica.

The bathroom is very old and without furnitures. The access of the bathroom is in front of the bed. The room is very poor and double bed is composed by two small bed. It’s a pity that this “hotel” is in this condition. The view from the balcony is fantastic, also the position.

The breakfast was fine the staff was kind with us. Many places in town was 5 min from hotel. If you are travelers and want to stay for 3-5 days in Palermo this hotel is cost effective. You must visit Sicily and especially Palermo. Food street was delicious. People was smiley all the time. You feel right away comfortable.

Where to start from? I'd say from the most important: restrooms. Nasty, dirty, ancient, smeared, smelly little places. Those are from the '70 and clearly haven't seen any maintenance since. In one of our room the toilet was clogged from the first days. Upon our complaint, the staff gently provided us simply with a bucket, giving us no further explanation on what we were supposed to do with that. There is no manager whatsoever to submit a direct complaint, only staff worker whom I can't honestly blame they their very little care towards our tribulations. We managed to get one room changed, finally no suspiciously stained gloomy bath-tub, now we can enjoy our glass shattered shower box in peace. There is just one hair-drayer in the whole damm hotel, but don't get to hype on hopes, it just blows air. Room temperature air. Actually, just a bit chiller. I had no idea that a hotel would obtain the fourth star just by adding an electric resistance in small appliances. Guys, of you wanna rip off people's money it's just more honourable to openly rob them. Palermo doesn't deserve people like you. Don't get fooled by this guys, people.
